Ms. Marialena Fuenzalida

My name is Marialena Fuenzalida. This will be my 14th year teaching. I graduated from Hofstra University in NY with my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. I taught 2nd grade in NY and then we relocated to NC where I taught 4th grade, 3rd grade and most recently I was a specialist. This year I am starting my new adventure as a part-time ESL teacher. I am excited to be a part of the Baucom family!

My husband and I have three children ages 16, 15, 11 and a 1 year old pup! We enjoy traveling, going to the movies and long family walks/bike rides. I also enjoy yoga, reading and playing tennis.

I am looking forward to a great year!

Ms. Jennifer Letellier

Hi! I’m Jennifer LeTellier, and I’ve been teaching for 20 years. This is my third year as an ESL teacher, and I’m passionate about helping students succeed in their language learning journey. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our three kids—aged 16, 10, and 8—and our two dogs, Judge and Millie. When I’m not with them, you’ll often find me at the beach or lost in a good book. I’m looking forward to a great year ahead!

Ms. Katherine Rushin

Hi! My name is Katherine Rushin, and I am thrilled to be starting my 15th year of teaching at Baucom Elementary! I grew up in Charleston, SC, and earned my teaching degree along with my K–12 Reading Certification from East Carolina University. Go Pirates!
This October is extra special because I’ll be marrying my wonderful fiancé, Miles, and will become Mrs. Parker! When I’m not at school, you can usually find me visiting family in Richmond, VA, or Savannah, GA, curled up with a good book, working out, collecting shells at the beach, cooking something new, or planning my next travel adventure. I’m looking forward to another wonderful school year and all the learning and memories it will bring!
