Happy May, MECME! Reminder that tomorrow, Monday, May 2, is a teacher workday; there is no school for students. Field day is scheduled for this Wednesday, May 4 (weather permitting). This week is also teacher appreciation week! Please see below for details and a few other updates and reminders.

 

WCPSS Chromebook Audit - If you haven't already done so, please have your child bring in his/her WCPSS-issued Chromebook on Tuesday, May 3, so that it can be assessed for damage (cracked screens, broken hinges, missing keys, etc.). The device will be labeled with your child’s name and returned the same day if the device is not damaged. Please be sure that the Chromebook Case that was provided earlier in the year is sent in along with the device. Damaged devices will be reported to the Help Desk for repair.  Thank you for your attention to this matter! 

 

Field Day! (May 4) – Please see the linked flyer (link) regarding our field day activities planned for May 4. We’re looking forward to a fun day at MECME!

 

Teacher Appreciation Week (May 2-6) – Teacher Appreciation Week is May 2-6! We want to show our teachers how much we love them and appreciate them! Use this guide (link) to plan out how to show your child's teachers the LOVE! Each teacher has filled out their "Favorite Things" survey in the link below (linked in the guide)! Don't forget to appreciate ALL your child's teachers including IAs, Specialists, AIG, CCR, ESL or any other teacher who supports your child at MECME!! Let's make next week great for our staff!!

Panorama Survey – We encourage all families to complete the annual Panorama Survey to help us continue to improve our work. Your input is so important. The online survey is linked here (link) and you should have received a paper survey the week before spring break. They are the same, so you only need to complete one or the other. Thank you so much for you input!

 

EOG Schedule – End of Grade tests in math and reading for students in 3^rd through 5^th grades (and science for 5^th grade only) will start at the end of May. Please see the test schedule below. It is important that students are present on test days to avoid the need to make-up the test at a later date.

¡Feliz mayo, MECME! Recordatorio de que mañana, lunes 2 de mayo, es un día de trabajo docente; no hay escuela para estudiantes. El día de campo está programado para este miércoles 4 de mayo (si el clima lo permite). ¡Esta semana también es la semana de apreciación de los maestros! Auditoría de Chromebook de WCPSS - Si aún no lo ha hecho, haga que su hijo traiga su Chromebook emitido por WCPSS el martes 3 de mayo, para que pueda evaluarse si hay daños (pantallas agrietadas, bisagras rotas, teclas faltantes, etc.). El dispositivo se etiquetará con el nombre de su hijo y se devolverá el mismo día si el dispositivo no está dañado. Asegúrese de que la funda Chromebook que se proporcionó a principios de año se envíe junto con el dispositivo. Los dispositivos dañados se informarán a la mesa de ayuda para su reparación.  ¡Gracias por su atención a este asunto!

Semana de Apreciación del Maestro (2-6 de mayo) – ¡ La Semana de Apreciación del Maestro es del 2 al 6 de mayo! ¡Queremos mostrar a nuestros maestros cuánto los amamos y apreciamos! ¡Use esta guía (enlace) para planificar cómo mostrarles a los maestros de su hijo el AMOR! ¡Cada maestro ha completado su encuesta de "Cosas favoritas" en el siguiente enlace (vinculado en la guía)! ¡No olvide apreciar a TODOS los maestros de su hijo, incluidos IAs, Especialistas, AIG, CCR, ESL o cualquier otro maestro que apoye a su hijo en MECME! ¡Hagamos que la próxima semana sea genial para nuestro personal!!

Encuesta Panorama – Alentamos a todas las familias a completar la Encuesta Panorama anual para ayudarnos a continuar mejorando nuestro trabajo. Su aporte es muy importante. La encuesta en línea está vinculada aquí (enlace) y debería haber recibido una encuesta en papel la semana anterior a las vacaciones de primavera. Son iguales, por lo que solo necesitas completar uno u otro. ¡Muchas gracias por su aportación!

 

Horario EOG - Las pruebas de fin de grado en matemáticas y lectura para estudiantes de 3rd a 5th grado (y ciencias solo para 5th grado) comenzarán a fines de mayo. Consulte el programa de pruebas a continuación. Es importante que los estudiantes estén presentes los días de examen para evitar la necesidad de maquillar el examen en una fecha posterior.
