Principal's Message for Families, 9/23/2024

Good Morning Sanford Creek Families,

THANK YOU to all families who have helped make AM & PM carpool a little smoother over the past two weeks.  Several things have contributed to our success: our largest track (Tr 1) has been tracked out, some parents are utilizing Scarboro Rd. route, and Rolesville PD continues to support as often as they can with directing traffic and helping walkers can cross safely.  The Town of Rolesville recently released an update on the construction and the unanticipated utility and water issues. Therefore, the project has been delayed and the intersection will remain closed until repairs can be made.

Alternate Route info:

One way to dissipate traffic at the base of the driveway is to utilize Scarboro and Young Street as an alternate entrance or exit from the school.

Exiting Campus: Turn right at the top of the driveway (granite rock and gravel driveway on right).  Take an immediate left onto Scarboro.  At the stop sign, turn left onto W. Young Street.  Turn left onto Granite Falls Blvd.

Entering Campus:  From Rogers Road, take Granite Falls past the school.  At the stop sign, turn right onto Young St.  Take the next right onto Scarboro.  At the stop sign, make a slow and careful right turn to then make a left into the carpool lane/driveway of the school.

PLEASE exercise caution and patience at the top of the driveway and treat it as a four-way stop by taking turns - whether arriving or exiting.

Have a good week!

Tiffany Rich, Principal
