Tr 4 OPEN HOUSE - THIS WEEK!
August 15 (5:45-7pm)
Open House is a floating event where families will "tour" the classroom, visit with specialists and tour the building with your child being the tour guide. Families will have the opportunity to gain greater insight of what the day-to-day looks like for SCE students, check out collaborative and independent work completed during the first weeks, work together on a grade level task, join the PTA, purchase SCE Spirit Wear, connect with other families, enjoy Jeremiah's Ice after the event and more!
The homeroom with the highest percentage of attendance will receive a popcorn or popsicle party and extra recess. We hope to see you there!
PTA FUNDRAISER: BOOSTERTHON IS HERE!
Thank you for participating in our PTAs (only) major fundraising event of the year! Tracks 1 & 2 have gotten us off to a great start for meeting our goal of $32,000 for Technology and School-Wide Enrichment Programs. We are always excited about this fundraiser because it is for all students as they take part in a character-building program, show pride and support of their school, stay healthy with the Fun Run, and get a great boost of school spirit too! Tracks 3 & 4 will participate Aug 19-27.
Head to mybooster.com today - Thank you for your support!
EARLY CHECK-OUTS
Regular school attendance is necessary for academic success. Students must be in school every day unless they are ill or there is an emergency. We prioritize and value instructional time and need every minute to provide students quality instruction. For that reason, we ask that you ensure your child arrives at school on time and that you not check a student out early unless it is an emergency or for a scheduled appointment. Office staff will not check students out between 3:20-3:45pm. We ask that you respect this policy, as we are maximizing instructional time for the benefit of your child to the very end of the day.
APPLY FOR FREE/REDUCED MEALS
To receive free or reduced-price meals for the 2024-2025 school year, families must submit a meal benefits application online at MySchoolApps.com. Paper copies are available at the front office. For families who completed the meal benefits application for last school year, the benefit continues for their student's first 30 school days of this school year. Breakfast = $1.75 and Lunch = $3.50.
VISITOR CHECK-IN SYSTEM
WCPSS’s Visitor Management System verifies ALL school visitors and checks the Sex Offender Registry for potential matches. To sign in, you will be asked to provide identifying information, including name, date of birth, and have your photo taken. For an easier check-in process, please have your driver's license or state-approved ID from any state and your mobile phone with you.
VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION & RENEWAL
