    Good evening,

This is Becky Foote, principal of Bugg Magnet Center for Design and Computer Sciences, with our weekly message for all families.   This message will also be posted on our website.

The magnet application period is open for all WCPSS students through February 5th.  All 5th graders who would like to attend a magnet middle school next year must complete the magnet  application available online.  If you have questions about the magnet application process, please contact Ms. McNeill or Ms. Whittington and they will be happy to help.

As we enter into the 3rd quarter, we will review school-wide behavior expectations with all students.  Please remind your child to practice the 3R’s every day - Respect, Responsibility, and Ready to Learn.  It is critical that we maintain a safe, respectful, and productive environment so that all children can do their very best every day.

We are fortunate to have a new online resource for math that students can use at home.  It is called Dreambox.  This program is a great way for your child to practice math skills.  Each lesson is targeted to your child’s individual needs.  Please reach out to your child’s teacher to learn more.  We also have the iStation program to be used for reading.   Both of these programs provide an opportunity for your child to practice essential academic skills at home.

Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership as we work together to redesign learning for every child in our community!

    Have a great week!
