Program Details
- WCPSS placement criteria will be followed and this prioritizes students by year of graduation.
- Summer school is provided as an in-person program only.
- Credit recovery will be through a computer-based platform, not through direct instruction.
- Students are required to bring their WCPSS Chromebooks and chargers. Chromebook check-out and tech services are not available in the summer.
- Students must be present. If a student is absent more than two times, their seat will be given to another student on the waitlist.
- Students are considered "finished" upon completion of their course. The quicker and harder that students work at this program, the quicker they will be finished with summer school. Students are not required to attend beyond finishing their course(s).
- No transportation will be provided. Free breakfast and lunch will be provided for all in the cafeteria.
- There is no fee to participate in credit recovery summer school.
- All WCPSS policies and procedures are enforced. This includes, but is not limited to, dress code, cell phones, language, attendance, banned substances, and weapons.
Enrollment in Summer School
Students register using this google form. Students should check their WCPSS email regularly as this will be used to communicate next steps if the student is accepted for placement in summer school. Additionally, we ask parents to regularly check Talking Points communications from Broughton to receive updates on summer school. If you have changed your phone number, please make the necessary updates with the school.
