October is National Bullying Awareness Month. At Fuller, we like to recognize this by focusing on kindness and things that unite us. Monday, October 7 is World Day of Bullying Prevention. On the first Monday of October, students, schools, and communities all over the world go BLUE together against bullying.

Wear your blue shirt on Monday, October 7 and be sure to practice kindness.

This year, we will further our celebration of kindness with Fuller's first Kindness Spirit Week.

Monday, October 14 is Team Kindness Day-Show you are on Team Kindness by wearing your favorite team shirt or Fuller shirt

Tuesday, October 15 is Kindness Ties Us Together-Wear a tie or bow tie or bow to demonstrate how kindness connects us

Wednesday, October 16 is Unity Day-Wear Orange. Why the color orange? As Unity Day is held during October, orange is a color commonly identified with the month and the autumn season. It is also a color that is associated with safety and visibility. It is a color described as warm and inviting, and its vibrancy makes an impactful statement.

Thursday, October 17-Celebrate our Differences-wear odd socks or Tie Dye (This is also PICTURE DAY!)

Friday, October 18-You Can't Hide from Kindness-Wear some camouflage or a Fuller shirt--kindness will always find you!

    Fall Picture Day- October 17

    PTA Reflections Contest

Fuller PTA is participating in the National PTA Reflections Art Contest this year! Participation is free for students to enter and is a great way to encourage and celebrate the artistic gifts and talents of our students. There are six categories that students can enter: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts.  All entries must be original creations and must relate to this year’s theme, “Accepting Imperfection”.

The winning submissions at each school compete at the county level, county winners at the state, and state winners at the national competition. Last year, our school was represented at every level of the competition! Here at Fuller, everyone who submits artwork will be recognized at a celebration later in the spring, but the time to create your artwork is now!

All entries must be submitted digitally and are due on 18th October 2024.

More details can be found here.

You may contact us with questions about Reflections at reflections@fullerpta.org or over the phone 650-919-3639 (Padma) or 201-706-1666 (Anjana).
