Mrs. Cornwright LOVES science and engineering! She was born in Tx and grew up in Indiana. In college, she was a Chemistry Biology student at Indiana University. She chose to be a teacher because she loves working with children and wanted to create a love of math and science like she has. She is married and has boy/girl twins. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family, travel, read, and geocache!

Media: Heather Whalen | hwhalen@wcpss.net | Website | Twitter | Assistant Hattie Davis

She received her Masters in Curriculum Instruction and Supervision from NC State. She is currently a Nationally Board Certified Teacher in Middle Childhood Development. She is a mom of two wonderful boys named Sean and Jayden. Reading is her passion and she hopes to instill a love of reading in all students at Weatherstone. Ms. Whalen loves dark chocolate, Starbucks coffee, and Gerber daisies. She spends summers at the pool playing, digging in the sand at the beach, or reading a good book! At our school she has the pleasure of being the mentor coordinator of all our wonderfully talented new teachers. However, what she loves to do best is teach and learn from students. Let’s have a wonderful year!

Mrs. Davis was born and raised in Wisconsin but has also lived in Florida before moving to NC in 2006. She taught grades 2 and K/1 for Pasco County, FL for two years before becoming a stay-at-home mom to her two sons, one of whom attends NC State. She also has an animated and very happy 5 year old daughter who is a Kindergartener at Weatherstone! Mrs. Davis loves books so much that she works for the Wake County public libraries AND with Ms. Whalen at Weatherstone! Mrs. Davis lives in Morrisville with her husband, daughter, an extremely naughty Boxer named Sox, a Frenchie named Daphne, and a pretty kitty named Stella. In her spare time, you will probably find her stuffing her face at a food truck rodeo somewhere in the Triangle, cleaning her house, reading, or binge watching something on Netflix.
