Mrs. Cagle grew up in Cary and attended Meredith College where she majored in Psychology and earned a K-6 teaching licensure. Her entire family still lives around here including her two older brothers who live minutes away from her and her husband. In July 2018, she married her husband Chris. She spends most of her free time with her family, which is usually centered around food. Mrs. Cagle loves going to her family lake house and tubing, laying on the dock, and playing card games. She also enjoys hiking, working out, spending time with friends, and of course teaching.

Ms. Douglas is proud to have been born and raised in Texas. She attended the University of Texas and received her Teaching Certificate from Western Governors University. Prior to moving here, she taught Pre-K-2nd grade for many years in Austin, Texas. Mrs. Douglas moved to Cary following her husband’s job with Lenovo. Nora and David have enjoyed every minute of our Town, our people, our beaches, our mountains and the southern hospitality. Mrs. Douglas’ favorite things about Weatherstone are the focus on STEM, our diversity and the welcoming staff. She is passionate about motivating her students to perform at their best, build healthy relationships at school and to view learning as a fun and worthwhile endeavor. Mrs. Douglas enjoys reading, running and traveling the world. So, if you know a place she really should go see, please share it with her!
Ms. Harris is a true southerner from Birmingham, Alabama. She graduated from The University of Alabama ... Roll Tide !! She has 3 older children, Jessica, Dustin, and Zac. She has an adorable, red-headed grandchild named Mason. She was a pharmaceutical sales representative in her earlier life but always had a desire to return to her love of teaching. She returned to school at East Carolina University where she received her teaching certification. She LOVES college football, obviously, and enjoys gardening and reading psychological thrillers. She will escape to the beach when any opportunity exists.

Mrs. Love and her husband moved to Cary from Brooklyn, NY over a decade ago. She taught third grade both in Brooklyn and in Wake County. Her daughters, Isabella and Elsie, are students in WCPSS. Mrs. Love enjoys spending time reading, camping, hiking, and traveling.

Mrs. Roberts recently moved here from Florida with her husband and two energetic boys. She attended Bethune-Cookman University, Nova Southeastern University and Florida Atlantic University where she earned a B.S. in Elementary Education, a M.S in Reading Education and and a certification in Educational Leadership respectively. Her 25 years of experience range from teaching various elementary grade levels, Reading Coach, Instructional Facilitator and an Assistant Principal for the past 8 years. When not working, Mrs. Roberts spends the majority of her time with her family. Their adventures include road trips, going to the beach, visiting museums, trying new restaurants, bowling, and enjoying the outdoors. In the rare moments of “me time”, Mrs. Roberts enjoys shopping, running, reading a good book, and being pampered. She truly believes that all students can and will learn when given the opportunity!
Mrs. Price is originally from Indianapolis, but moved to Holly Springs in 2015. She graduated from Ball State University (Muncie, IN) with a bachelor's degree in public relations and event management. After working in the sports marketing career field for a few years, she realized her true calling - GROWING YOUNG MINDS! She completed a Transition to Teaching program through Taylor University (Upland, IN) in elementary education. Mrs. Price enjoys spending time with her husband, Alan, and puppy, Finley. They like to go for walks, catch up on their favorite TV shows, explore the mountain region, and relax at the beach.
Second Grade Assistants
Ms. Scruggs is a native of the Pacific Northwest. She attended Central Washington University, majoring in Political Science. She and her husband, John, were engaged in Vernazza, Italy, and married in 2006 in Maui, Hawaii. She and her family moved from Oregon in July of 2016 in search of less rain and warmer weather! She has two children, one at Weatherstone and one at West Cary Middle School. They live at home with a Golden Retriever puppy, Hurricane Matthew rescue cat, and a 125-gallon fish tank, but miss their backyard chickens and daily fresh eggs from their old home in Oregon! Both her children play soccer with NCFC and they enjoy going to watch NC Courage games. One of Janelle's passions is travelling in their RV and taking long road trips. This past summer, Janelle and her children took a 6-week trip to Maine and back, travelling 3,700 miles. So far she has visited 26 states with her kids and numerous National Parks. Her personal goal is to see all 50 states and every National Park. Janelle's other hobbies include running, hiking, kayaking, biking, gardening and reading.
Mrs. Parkkila has a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Education, specialized in Educational Psychology from the University of Oulu, Finland. She is a licensed teacher of educational sciences and psychology in Finland. Mrs. Parkkila has a strong background on behavioral sciences, child development, curriculum planning and teaching children K-5, and she is very passionate about teaching children new academic and life skills and supporting their social and emotional well-being. Mrs. Parkkila is married with her high school sweetheart and they have three children who attend WCPSS schools. She loves to do sports with her children, cook and bake and play with her puppy. Mrs. Parkkila learnt five languages at school. She is interested in different countries and cultures, their habits and food, and she loves to travel. Before coming to NC, her family enjoyed living three years in Berkeley, CA.
