     Meet the Team

    Mrs. Anderson is a lifelong learner and has been teaching for over twenty years, all of them in Wake County. Over the years she has taught kindergarten, first grade, and K-2 literacy intervention. She is a native North Carolinian and graduated from Meredith College twice- undergrad and Masters. Her husband, Bryan, and she have two sons, Trey and Colby. She has two rescue dogs! Dustin is an Australian Shepard, German Shepard mix who looks like a little wolf. Brandi is a Husky mix who thinks she is a lap dog even though she weighs 60 pounds! Mrs. Anderson enjoys watching sports, taking pictures, scrapbooking, playing with her dogs, and relaxing at the beach with a good book!

    Mrs. Eischeid was born in Kansas City, Missouri and then moved to Fairfax, Virginia to finish out her school years. She went to Virginia Tech and earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology. She earned her Masters and PhD in Social Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University. She and her husband (also a Hokie!) live in Cary with their three sons, three frogs, two cats, two fish, one dog, and one Guinea pig.

    Mrs. Desloge attended Old Dominion University where she had a dual major in Elementary and Early Childhood education. While attending ODU, she met her husband Frank. She has three children Greg, Eric, and Allissa. She also has two grandsons, Griffin and Ayden. She loves all animals, but is partial to cats. She even spent time as a wildlife rehabilitator helping sick or injured opossums and turtles. Mrs. Desloge enjoys reading, spending time at the beach, being with her family, and watching the Carolina Panther's play football. She also enjoys watching all levels of soccer. Her favorite EPL team is Arsenal, go Gunners! Mrs. Desloge has spent her entire teaching career working with young children and mentoring new teachers.

    Mrs. Sarney was born in Buffalo, NY and spent her youth in Youngstown, NY  a small town across the river from Niagara Falls, Canada. She graduated with her Bachelors in Social Work from Buffalo State College and her Masters in Social Work from the University at Buffalo. Mrs. Sarney worked for years as a social worker and teacher assistant in Rochester, NY with children in both elementary and middle school. She recently moved to North Carolina from New York and is really enjoying the weather and friendly people. She has two sons who attend WCPSS schools. Mrs. Sarney enjoys music, reading, watching sports and traveling when not at Weatherstone.

    Mrs. Ellington graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education - STEM concentration in May 2015. She graduated from with her Masters degree in New Literacies & Global Learning: K-12 Reading from NC State in May 2018! She and her husband are huge WOLFPACK fans and enjoy cheering them on! She has taught First Grade and Kindergarten and loves being at Weatherstone! In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, taking her dog for walks, and traveling to the beach and mountains.

    Mrs. Dupuis is a native French speaker who didn't learn English until 3rd Grade when she moved from Canada to Chattanooga, TN. She later went to Tennessee Tech to study Mathematics and Electrical Engineering and worked as a software engineer for about 10 years for companies like Nasa, Intergraph (where she met her husband Brian), and Bosch. She became a stay at home Mom to her daughter, Julia, who attended Weatherstone for all her elementary school years. After volunteering for those 6 years in the classroom and the PTA, she discovered her love of teaching and decided to give up the corporate world and become a kindergarten teacher assistant. Her days are now filled with little kindergartners which makes her heart happy. Besides her kindergartners and family, Mrs. Dupuis loves her two kitties Twinkle and Skittle, knitting, hiking, reading, and the Carolina Hurricanes (whenever they aren't playing the Montreal Canadiens :).

    Ms. Harris is a Cary native and a product of the Wake County Public School System.  She graduated from Cary High and went on to get her degree from East Carolina University.  She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education with a concentration in Childhood Development. Ms. Harris taught First Grade for 6 years before being "promoted" to Kindergarten where she has been very happy for the past 9 years.  She believes every child can learn and succeed in a nurturing, safe environment and strives to provide that for every child.  Ms. Harris has three children, an 8th grader who attends Dillard Middle School and a 4th and 1st grader who attend Weatherstone Elementary. Ms. Harris' family recently added a Yorkie puppy named Lily to their home.  In her free time she enjoys cheering on her favorite team, the UNC Tar Heels, teaching the children's choir at her church, singing, reading, and spending time at the beach.

    Mrs. Hyde is an advocate for children. She has been teaching young children for many years. She graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She moved to North Carolina with her husband and four children when her youngest child entered kindergarten. Now her children are all grown and the youngest one is a teacher herself! When Mrs. Hyde is not teaching she enjoys reading at the beach, eating popcorn at the movies, and going on cruises. She lives in Cary with her husband and her Yorkshire Terrier, Sophie.

    Mrs. Parkkila has a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Education, specialized in Educational Psychology from the University of Oulu, Finland. She is a licensed teacher of educational sciences and psychology in Finland. Mrs. Parkkila has a strong background on behavioral sciences, child development, curriculum planning and teaching children K-5, and she is very passionate about teaching children new academic and life skills and supporting their social and emotional well-being. Mrs. Parkkila is married with her high school sweetheart and they have three children who attend WCPSS schools. Sheloves to do sports with her children, cook and bake and play with her puppy. Mrs. Parkkila learnt five languages at school. She is interested in different countries and cultures, their habits and food, and she loves to travel. Before coming to NC, her family enjoyed living three years in Berkeley, CA.

    Ms. Howard was born and raised in Indiana where she attended Anderson University and received her B.S. in Elementary Education.  She lives in Holly Springs with her 4 children, 2 dogs and 2 cats.  Ms. Howard has taught in New Jersey, Singapore, Venezuela and now in North Carolina.  A fun fact many people don't know is that before settling in NC, she lived in California, New Jersey, Singapore, Venezuela, Georgia and New Hampshire.  She enjoys any activity near the water as well as running and hiking.

    Mrs. Fralin was raised in MA and moved to NC in 2011 with her husband and two daughters, Elise and Sophia.  She has a BA in Childhood Development from Tufts University and her MA in Counseling Psychology from Boston College.  She enjoys watching her daughters play soccer and basketball, and especially likes the weather in NC.  Her favorite things include the beach, being outdoors, gummy bears, and working with the kindergarteners at Weatherstone.
