     Meet the Team

     


    Shannon Capasso | scapasso@wcpss.net | Assistant: Rebecca Rogers

    Ms. Capasso grew up in Pennsylvania, earning her Bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University (We Are!). She earned her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from The College of New Jersey before relocating to the sunny and warm city of Raleigh!  Ms. Capasso loves everything Broadway, and can be found humming show tunes at any time of the day. She is also a bookworm who loves playing with her pup, Ollie.

    Ms. Rogers Mrs. Rogers is happy to be a part of the Weatherstone family. She is originally from the deep south, born in New Orleans and raised in Picayune, Mississippi. She earned a B.S in Elementary Education with an emphasis on literacy from the University of Southern Mississippi. She and her family enjoyed living in the very friendly state of Wisconsin for 7 years, but eventually landed in Cary, North Carolina where she has lived since 2010. She has 3 boys and 1 girl and a very clever golden retriever named Boone. She loves to take trips with her family, visiting family and friends in Mississippi and going on dates with her husband. 

     


    Tammy Howard | thoward@wcpss.net

    Ms. Howard was born and raised in Indiana where she attended Anderson University and received her B.S. in Elementary Education.  She lives in Holly Springs with her 4 children, 2 dogs and 2 cats.  Ms. Howard has taught in New Jersey, Singapore, Venezuela and now in North Carolina.  A fun fact many people don't know is that before settling in NC, she lived in California, New Jersey, Singapore, Venezuela, Georgia and New Hampshire.  She enjoys any activity near the water as well as running and hiking.

    Mrs. Fralin

    Mrs. Fralin was raised in MA and moved to NC in 2011 with her husband and two daughters, Elise and Sophia.  She has a BA in Childhood Development from Tufts University and her MA in Counseling Psychology from Boston College.  She enjoys watching her daughters play soccer and basketball, and especially likes the weather in NC.  Her favorite things include the beach, being outdoors, gummy bears, and working with the kindergarteners at Weatherstone.  


    Margarette Harris | mharris5@wcpss.net | Assistant: Yasi Langdale

    Ms. Harris is a Cary native and a product of the Wake County Public School System.  She graduated from Cary High and went on to get her degree from East Carolina University.  She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education with a concentration in Childhood Development. Ms. Harris taught First Grade for 6 years before being "promoted" to Kindergarten where she has been very happy for the past 9 years.  She believes every child can learn and succeed in a nurturing, safe environment and strives to provide that for every child.  Ms. Harris has three children, an 8th grader who attends Dillard Middle School and a 4th and 1st grader who attend Weatherstone Elementary. Ms. Harris' family recently added a Yorkie puppy named Lily to their home.  In her free time she enjoys cheering on her favorite team, the UNC Tar Heels, teaching the children's choir at her church, singing, reading, and spending time at the beach. 

    Ms. Langdale moved here from the Richmond, Virginia area to attend Meredith College in Raleigh and loved the area so much she made it her home.  She now lives in Cary with her husband and her two daughters. Her oldest daughter attended Weatherstone Elementary from kindergarten through 5th grade, and her youngest daughter is currently in 4th grade at Weatherstone Elementary. Mrs. Langdale has been volunteering with the Weatherstone PTA since her oldest daughter was in kindergarten and she loves all that Weatherstone means for the community! She has an awesome black and white cat named Donut and in her spare time she loves reading and relaxing by the pool. Also, she loves gummy sweet treats and anything chocolate!


    Jennifer Hogan | jhogan@wcpss.net | Assistant: Amy Eischeid

    Ms. Hogan- Mrs. Hogan attended Eastern Michigan University where she majored in Elementary Education and minored in Early Childhood.  After She graduated, she decided to pursue the Early Childhood path and worked in various Preschools and went on to obtain her Early Childhood Administration credential.  Mrs. Hogan enjoyed being a director of a couple preschools in the area but decided she wanted to try out the Elementary route.  She started as a TA at Westlake Elementary in Apex and then was hired for a Kindergarten position here at Weatherstone in the middle of the 2018-19 school year.  She has realized this is her true passion and she hopes to continue on this path.  Mrs. Hogan is married to her husband Greg and has 2 daughters, Avery and Ryen.  Her hobbies include running, reading and cheering on the Michigan State Spartans.  Go Green!

    Mrs. Eischeid is a native of Kansas City Missouri. She moved to Virginia for high school, college (go Hokies!) and graduate school. She got her PhD in Social Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University and taught for 10 years at The College of William & Mary. Now, she and her husband and three teenage sons (and 2 dogs and 2 cats!) are happy to call Cary, North Carolina home. She loves working with the wonderful students and staff at WES!

     


    Gerri Renfrow | grenfrow@wcpss.net | Assistant: Alyssa Hickman

    Ms. Renfrow was born and raised here in North Carolina. Growing up she has always had a love and passion for educating and helping to positively shape the minds of the world's future leaders.  She graduated from North Carolina Central University with a bachelor's degree in English Literature, where she is also obtaining a second degree in elementary education.  Other passions include singing, completing DIY projects, and event planning. She is a décor enthusiast and enjoys making her environments warm and welcoming. She has two happy pups, Hershey and Kash who she loves spending time with. She is family oriented and appreciates spending time with hers traveling and just enjoying each other's company. End goal for her is to wake up every day to blue skies and the sound of ocean waves because the beach is her favorite place to be!

    Ms. Hickman is originally from Long Island, New York. She studied at UNCG and Peace College. She previously worked as a certified Teaching Assistant for the Newburgh Enlarged City school district in New York. She and her three younger sisters all attended Wake County public schools from K-12. Her youngest sister even attended WES! She enjoys reading, going to art museums, cooking and the color pink.

     


    Lorissa Sarney | lsarney@wcpss.net | Assistant: Caroline Navia

    Ms. Sarney is very excited to be at Weatherstone Elementary school. She grew up in Buffalo, NY and moved to NC in 2016 with her husband Matt and two boys- Joshua and Caleb.  She comes with lots of experience in various positions, including a Bachelors and Masters degree in Social Work. She has been an IA for multiple years in both special education and general education kindergarten and has worked at multiple Wake County schools. She is currently attending William Peace University to obtain her teaching certification for NC. She lives in beautiful Holly Springs, where she spends her time watching her boys play soccer, enjoys reading, traveling, playing with her puppy Jax and cheering on her Buffalo Bills football team. She is so excited to be back and working with young children. She looks forward to watching them all grow into amazing learners and future super heroes.    

    Caroline Navia

    Ms. Navia was born in Cali, Colombia. She is trilingual, and fluent in Spanish and German, and enjoys studying different cultures. She graduated from Colegio Aleman, a prestigious high school in Cali, Colombia, then attended the Autonomous University of the West,  where she studied Social Communication and Journalism. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist and a Physical Therapy Aide. Her passion is to help people and work with kids!. She enjoys spending time with her son, Matthew, family and friends. In her free time, she enjoys exercise, reading, journaling, travel, watching movies and admiring the beautiful nature native to North Carolina.
