I’m an Orlando, FL native and our family is new to Raleigh from Tampa, FL. My husband and I have been married for 18 years and we have two teenage girls, ages 12 and 15. This will be my first year teaching art and I couldn’t feel anymore “at home.” Since then, I have worked as an art director in many different capacities –– from old-school print newspapers to magazines to advertising agencies. Most recently, I ran my own photography business for 15+ years. I have mainly photographed children and families, but also found a passion for food and restaurant photography. I love to eat/cook good food as well as work in my garden.

My Education BA Degree in Visual Communications from the University of South Florida in 1995. 

Hello! My name is Christine (Chrissy) McIvor, and I was born and raised in Derry, New Hampshire. This is my second year at Jeffreys Grove! I taught elementary music and middle school band in Greensboro for 9 years before moving to Raleigh last summer. I live with my husband, Christian, who is a music minister and professional musician in Raleigh, our 3 children, River, Juliette, and Thayer and our 3 fur babies, Cash-dog, Sonny-dog, and Dizzy-cat. Outside of school, some of the things I enjoy are: Running, hiking, traveling to the beach and mountains, and trying new restaurants!

Hola! My name is Mr. Miguel Narbona and I am a Spanish teacher at Jeffreys Groves and Powell Elementary School. I have been working at Jeffreys Grove since 2018. I am from Seville, Spain. I have lived in Raleigh since 2010. I am married. My wife, Suzanne, and I have two children Patricia (19) and Miguel (15). I love spending time with my family, playing soccer, cooking, traveling, and volunteering.  
Education: Business Degree from Campbell University, Associate Degree from Wake Tech, Associate Degree in Chemistry from Polytechnic Institute of Seville, Spain. Currently, I am pursuing my teacher license from NCSU. 

My name is Jeremy Smith but call me Coach Smith! I am the Physical Education teacher at Jeffreys Grove. I am excited about my 16th year teaching and I love JGE :)))

A little about me: I love being active and eating healthy. I know Boring!!! I’ve played almost every sport (the reason i became a PE teacher). Cant wait for another new great year!
