Hola amigos! My name is Jaime Osorno G. I was born and raised in Medellin, Colombia and I moved here to the states to be a Spanish Immersion teacher and continue with my studies in 2013. I have been teaching here at JGMES since 2015 and I LOVE it!!!! I enjoy dancing, doing Zumba, yoga, singing Karaoke, going to the movies, doing reading alouds at school, helping others, and eating cake!

My Education:

I graduated from Universidad de Antioquia back home in Colombia in 2013 with a degree in Foreign Languages (English - French) teaching. In 2016 I graduated from ELON university here in NC with a Masters degree in Elementary Education.

My name is Elizabeth Chapman and I am excited to be teaching 3rd Grade at JGMES again this year! I have been teaching since 2013 and transferred from North Ridge Elementary where I have taught 1st, 3rd and 4th.

In my free time, I like to hike with my husband and our 2 rescue beagles, spend time with our 4 boys and read a good mystery.

I’m Angélica López born and raised in my beautiful country,Colombia and I’m thrilled to be part of this new adventure! I have a bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages from Javeriana University.  Last year I obtained my master’s degree in Didactics of Languages at La Salle University.  I have been teaching for more than 5 years in elementary school. I love teaching and getting the chance to not only help my students but to learn from them since I believe that we can always learn from each other. 

In my free time, I like going to the gym, watching documentaries/movies, listening to podcasts, and reading. I love hanging out with my family and friends and doing all kinds of plans. I’m up for anything! 

Hello! My name is Odry Melendez. I have been teaching since​​​​​​​​​​ 1991 and at Jeffreys Grove since 2014. For college, I attended “Universidad Pedagógica Nacional de Honduras''. I am married and have two adult children. I enjoy going to musicals and reading.
