• For a medical or life-threatening emergency, you can contact 911 and request a “CIT Officer.” These first responders have gone through Crisis Intervention Training to work with individuals with a mental health, substance use, intellectual or developmental disability. https://nami-wake.org/support-and-education/education/crisis-intervention-training/
• Mobile Crisis Providers & Crisis Lines: Available 24/7 for crisis response. - Behavioral Health Urgent Care (available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day all year)
- Alternative to hospital emergency department; serves youth ages 5-20 in Wake, Johnston, Orange, Durham, Harnett, Cumberland and Mecklenburg counties
- Children are clinically assessed, can be admitted for observation (up to 23.59 hours), then connected to a Family Partner to secure the necessary community-based services.
- Behavioral Health Urgent Care (available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day all year)

- Facility-Based Crisis: Short-term stabilization (up to 2 weeks) and assessment of needed services for youth ages 6-17 who are from Wake, Johnston, Orange, Durham, Harnett, Cumberland and Mecklenburg counties. Alliance Health Medicaid only.
- Mobile Outreach Response Engagement and Stabilization (MORES)
- Serves youth ages 3-20 in Wake, Johnston, Orange, Durham and Harnett counties 24/7/365.
- MORES responds to all calls regardless of insurance provider. Provides care management up to 8 weeks with Alliance Health Medicaid; up to 4 weeks with WellCare Medicaid.
