    Backpack Buddies 

    ·       Collaborate with Jen Page (teacher) with needed food bags to be delivered on Wednesdays

    ·       Collaborate with Steve Sapienza (school social worker) to distribute to classrooms

    ·       Create and update Backpack Buddies list of students in Google Docs and who received food bags

     

    Attendance Committee

    •  Attend monthly meetings and consult with school social worker about students with attendance concerns
    • Type up minutes and send to school social worker

     

     

    Second Step SEL Programming

    • Meet with Second Step Planning Committee to follow up
    • Second Step planning and implementation for kindergarten and first grade
    • Second Step implementation for 2nd-5th grade teachers
    • Monitor lessons taught and ensure that the Prep and Extend Activities for teachers in K and 1 are taught
    • Weekly lesson letters to parents via weekly teacher communication K and 1st, with this direction given to teachers in grades 2-5 with links to access

     

    Behavior Team

    • Meet once a month to discuss Majors and Minors
    • Update students that I have contact with and add new information in UGTM Google Doc
    • Strategize and implement plans to meet student and family needs/concerns

     

    Clothing Closet

    • Start up, organize, and utilize a Clothing Closet (including coats) in coordination with the school social worker and in cooperation with the principal
    • Request and receive items from teachers and parents
    • Give these items directly to students that need them throughout the year

     

    Breakfast Duty 8:45am-9:20am daily

       Mobile Unicorns

    ·       Initiate, coordinate and carry out Mobile Unicorns home visits to distribute school supplies, clothing/shoes, and backpack distribution for high needs students

    ·       Coordinate and carry out plans with Megan Hill (teacher) and Steve Sapienza (school social worker) about distribution

    ·       Devise detailed Google Doc with high needs students, organized by addresses and neighborhoods

    ·       Met with students while in neighborhoods, distributing supplies and welcoming them back to school

    Unity Day, October 20, 2021

    ·       Publicized the day via PTA e-news, via morning announcements with Mr. Shillings, in classroom counseling classes, and posters in the hallways

    ·       Collaborated with the staff and Safety Patrol students about the goal of the day to spread kindness and to pass out kindness cards to all students as they entered school.
