Ms. Trinity Evans

Hello! My name is Trinity Evans, and I’m so excited to be teaching Kindergarten this year! I’m originally from the Outer Banks and Virginia, but I now call the Raleigh area home. I graduated from Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) in May 2023 with a Bachelor's Degree in Birth–Kindergarten Education, and I’m currently finishing up my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education, which I will complete in December 2025. This is my third year working in the school system and my second year as a classroom teacher. Last year I taught 2nd grade, but I’m so excited to begin my first year in Kindergarten—it already feels like the perfect fit for me! I come from a big family with four sisters and two brothers, which helped spark my lifelong passion for working with children. While at ECSU, I was a proud member of the bowling team and served as team captain for three years. Outside of school, I love cooking, traveling, staying active, listening to music, and I also have a background in basketball and track. I’m passionate about creating a warm, welcoming, and engaging classroom where students feel safe to grow, explore, and be themselves. I can’t wait to get to know you and your child as we work together to make this a joyful and successful year in Kindergarten!

Ms. Abigail Johnson

Hi! My name is Abigail Johnson and I am super excited to be in Kindergarten this year with your students! I am originally from Sanford, NC and earned my degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in Elementary Education K-6 and Special Education K-12 in 2019.  I also received my master’s in literacy education from UNCG this past May. This is my 7th year of teaching and my 3rd in Kindergarten! I spent the first 4 years teaching first grade in Lee County before transitioning to Wake County and kindergarten! Outside of school I love to spend time with family and friends, reading, or crafting. I hope to create a positive, engaging classroom community to help my students develop and work towards their hopes and dreams!

Ms. Jennifer Whitby

Howdy! 🙂 My name is Jenn Whitby and my family and I moved here from Vermont in 2023.  I attended Champlain College for my undergrad degree and then moved a town over, for my master's in education from Saint Michael’s College, both schools in Vermont!  I have been teaching for over 18 years, mostly with younger grades.  I love to have new experiences with my students and foster their love for learning.  I live with my husband (of 18 years!), my two daughters, Avery (15) & Riley (12), along with our dog Oakley (3).  In my spare time, I love to be outside in the sunshine, swimming, playing games and baking.  I also love, love, LOVE to travel and spend time with my family!  This will be my third year at Baucom and I am so excited for a fantastic school year!

Ms. Jennifer Beck

Hi!  My name is Jen Beck.  This is my third year as an IA at Baucom, but I have worked with children for many years.    I have four children, three girls and a boy.  My oldest is a first year teacher here at Baucom in first grade, my middle is a junior  attending UNCW, and my youngest are boy/girl twins who are juniors at Green Hope High School.   I also have two dogs, Brownie and Finley and a cat, Kiki.  When I'm not at school, you will find me watching soccer, cross country or track for my twins, but I also love to be at the beach whenever I can!   I am looking forward to another great year!

Hi all, I am Priya Rajendran. It is my second year at Baucom and I love our school with its amazing staff and courteous students. I am a mom of two kids, my son will be at Baucom this year and my daughter goes to middle school. As a family we enjoy hiking when it is not blazing hot outside, beachtime, and reading. Looking forward to being a trusted adult and helping our students have another amazing year at Baucom.

Ms. Kathy Miles

Welcome back!  I am so excited for the 2025-2026 school year!  This is my second year at Baucom Elementary as a Kindergarten IA and it’s my dream job!  I have worked for WCPSS since 2000 in a variety of capacities (classroom teacher, interventionist, literacy coach), but being a Kindergarten IA is my absolute favorite!  I have three children:  two older sons and a second grade daughter, who is also a Baucom Aviator.  In my spare time you will find me with my family, reading a good book, playing with our sweet Corgi, Bella, or visiting our favorite beach—Wrightsville Beach.

Ms. Laura Amore

Welcome Back! This is my second year at Baucom and  I am excited to be joining the Kindergarten team as an Instructional Assistant.  I have been working with children in many different capacities since 2006 and absolutely love it.  I am married with two children - Hannah (25) and Sydney (22). We also have two black labs, Jack & Ollie.  In my free time I love spending time with friends, walking & exercising and I love to read and go to the beach.  I am looking forward to helping our students have the best year!
