Para leer este mensaje en español, haga clic aquí.March Madness was great fun! Thank you to the PTA for hosting this fantastic community event. It was great to see so many families at West Millbrook! And, the students earned the trophy for the annual Student Faculty Basketball Game.
Weather Event last week follow-up: I am very proud of our students and their teachers for how well they executed our tornado drill processes, ensuring that everyone was safe. Students followed instructions, remained quiet when directed to do so and re-engaged in the school day as soon as we were able to return to normal schedule.
Last day to turn in late or missing assignments for 3rd quarter is Friday, March 21.
Congratulations to our Magnet Dance Ensemble and Ms. Maxwell for an outstanding performance at Pieces of Gold last week! Their vibrant costumes and uplifting dance were a joy to see!
Please join me in welcoming Joe Blanchard who will serve as an interim assistant head of school while we continue hiring for a Year 1 Head of School. Mr. Blanchard is a retired WCPSS administrator and will be with us through March 21.
NC CheckIns for Math 7 will be administered this week.
Free tutoring offered via the Wake County Public Library. Students simply visit https://tutor.com/wakecountypl and enter their Wake County library barcode and pin for access (must use that link - going to the login button on Tutor.com will not work). Students without a card can get a barcode and pin online by visiting https://www.wake.gov/departments-government/libraries and clicking "Get a Card." Tutor.com offers live tutoring from 10:00am to 10:00pm along with a variety of asynchronous resources. Students are connected to a live tutor via chat or audio - no video. See attached flyers for more information. WCPL Tutoring Information
