We offer over 16 clubs and organizations that allow students to demonstrate their leadership skills. Some of our clubs include Juniorettes, Order of the Owl (SGA), FBLA, Tech Savvy, and Jazz Band. Our partnerships with Daniels Middle and Broughton High allow interested students to also participate in athletics.Please click on the link below to see a list of our current clubs and organizations:In additional to the extra-curricular activities available for our students, we also have a variety of activities during the school day that promote leadership and service. Two of our favorite activities are the Day of the Girl Celebration and the Yellow Rose Ceremony.YELLOW ROSE CEREMONY| The yellow rose serves as a symbol of friendship and sisterhood at Wake Young Women’s Leadership Academy. The color yellow represents joy, happiness, sunshine, brightness, wisdom, power, and most importantly, friendship. Each year on the first day of school, we welcome our new students by presenting each one with a yellow during a special ceremony. The yellow rose represents the bond that our young women will share with each young women as they learn, lead, and serve. The yellow rose represents their journey together at the Academy.
DAY OF THE GIRL| Every year in October, women across the world come together to highlight, discuss, celebrate and advance girls’ lives and opportunities across the globe. Wake Young Women’s Academy is committed to participating is this movement.
