IB Learners are open-minded and creative. FWES had 18 students enter the Wake PTA Reflections Contest for 2022-23. Each student created an original piece to show their interpretation of this year's theme, "Show Your Voice." 

FWES 4th Grader Nayeli Percy's piece "Different is Beautiful" won the National PTA Reflections Award for Visual Arts Excellence and a $200 Scholarship.

We are proud to have had FWES students win at the NC PTA Level: 

• 1st Place Visual Art Intermediate (3rd-5th): Nayeli Percy, "Different is Beautiful"
• 3rd Place Music Composition Primary (K-2nd): Niahm Romero, "Invisible Voice"
• Special Artist Winner: Ayoub Abaraouz, "Me- See Me Happy"
