We had a wonderful start to February! Thank you to all the families that joined us for Curriculum Night last night. We had an excellent turnout and enjoyed getting to share information about courses with registration with our families.  For those that want to know more, or couldn’t be with us last night, please see below for additional resources and details and registration for next school year.

Honor Roll Celebration!

The MCHS PTSA student recognition committee will celebrate first semester student success on Tuesday, February 18th. In addition to the breakfast treat students will have a chance to win gift cards and other prizes while celebrating with their peers.  Please consider donating items or signing up to volunteer by clicking on this link!

 

MCHS February Spirit Night:

The new Chipotle in Millpond Village is NOW OPEN!  Join us for February's Spirit Night on Feb. 12, 4pm-8pm and support a great cause! ACT Test Prep for Juniors 

Today, Juniors received an email to their WCPSS email with information about FREE ACT Test Prep Modules that are now available to them.  All Juniors will take the ACT on March 12th here at MCHS.  This is a required test and FREE opportunity for them to take a College Admissions Test that can be used when applying to colleges in their senior year.  We hope that this test prep will be a great opportunity for them to prepare for The ACT.  Questions about this program can be directed to their school counselor.  Here are the directions that were shared with Juniors.

Information from Student Services: 

Course Registration for the 25-26 School Year

Students will pick their classes for next year beginning Friday, 2/14, in their second block class.  They will meet with their counselor to ask questions they have about their course selections and then input those selections into Power Schools.  Students will receive Course Selections sheets early this week so that they can look these over with their families prior to choosing their classes.  This information can also be found online at our Registration Website.  MCHS builds our schedule each year based on student selections during registration and we do not change schedules during the year except to increase rigor or correct sequencing errors, so it is important for students to thoughtfully choose their courses during this time. Please reach out to your student’s counselor with any questions.

 

AP and CCP Presentation

Thank you to everyone who came to the presentation on earning college credit through AP and CCP courses at Curriculum Night this week.  For those unable to attend, please see the slides at this link.  Also, please see the CCP best practices for MCHS students here.

Seniors- Class of 2025:

Cap and Gown Delivery 

Caps and Gowns will be delivered to school on February 28th during both lunches.  Seniors should ONLY come during their lunch to pick up their cap and gown.  See the flier linked here.  If you have not ordered a cap and gown yet, it is not too late to order - go to this link.  If you have questions, you can talk to Ms. Sullivan in the front office.
