Principal's Weekly Message
Good afternoon Middle Creek High School families,
I hope everyone has had a wonderful week. We had a great virtual Meet the Teacher event last night- thank you to all the parents who were able to visit with our teachers. We hope it was helpful in keeping you up to date on your student’s experience. Next week we will have our on-campus curriculum night for rising 9-12th graders where you can learn a whole lot more in preparation for next year’s registration. There are more details about that event provided later in my message.
Below you will find additional information and updates for next week. Thank you for your attention to these items.
Information & Reminders:
Support Our MCHS Teachers & Staff!
The PTSA Appreciation Committee needs your help to provide dinner for 120 staff members before Curriculum Night. Please consider donating items or signing up to volunteer by clicking on this link! Together, we can make this a memorable evening for our amazing MCHS staff!
Carpool Reminder
As temperatures warm up, we want to keep morning carpool moving efficiently in order to get everyone to first block on time! Friendly reminder for parents to pull all the way forward as they enter the carpool loop. Students should exit parent vehicles as soon as their vehicle comes to a stop in the carpool loop. Thanks for your help in this process!
Curriculum Night 2025
Thursday, February 6th we will have our annual Curriculum Night at MCHS. This is a wonderful opportunity for you and your student to come and see the many different classes and programs we offer here at MCHS. This is the event that begins our registration season and students picking classes for the next school year. It is a great opportunity to listen, learn and ask questions about all we have to offer - a map will be provided that night with locations for each department to visit.
Rising 9th grade parents can come at 6pm for a parent meeting, after that you will have the opportunity to visit all MCHS has to offer on rotations, hearing presentations from every department.
Rising 10th-12th grade parents can come at 6pm and core and elective teachers will be available for questions.
Also, there are some special events that will happen throughout the evening, all of these events will be held in the Auditorium.
5:30pm - Special Sneak peek of the Musical
5:40pm - Special Musical (band and choir) treat
6:35pm - Meeting about Capstone Program (Rising 10th Graders)
6:45pm - Meeting about College Credit Opportunities (CCP and AP)

“Honor a Teacher” Nominations are OPEN!
We are excited to be kicking off our 2025 “Honor A Teacher” season! The Cary Chamber of Commerce has been a leader in supporting education in our community through numerous programs and activities. One of the most critical needs of Wake County schools is that of attracting and retaining the best classroom teachers. With the Cary Chamber of Commerce's Honor a Teacher Program we hope to help our school system in meeting that challenge, as well as celebrate the excellence that exists on our MCHS Staff.
The Cary Chamber has secured sponsors to develop a teaching awards program for all schools in the Cary area and one winner from each school will receive a $1200 prize from the Chamber sponsors at a special reception in the Spring. Last year’s winner was Dr. Williamson!
