Principal's Weekly Message
Good afternoon Middle Creek High School families,
It was a great start to the Second Semester today, and we were so glad to see the students on-campus after this extended winter weather break. Students were able to attend all of their second semester classes today, despite the shortened schedule and hopefully they came home enthused about their new courses. We look forward to settling in for a full week next week!
Below are some details and information for your family. Thank you for your attention to these items.
Information & Reminders:
Meet the Teacher Event:
With new classes comes another opportunity to “Meet the Teacher”! Please save the date for our second semester “Meet the Teacher” event, which is virtual on January 30th. A flyer is attached here!
“Honor a Teacher” Nominations are OPEN!
We are excited to be kicking off our 2025 “Honor A Teacher” season! The Cary Chamber of Commerce has been a leader in supporting education in our community through numerous programs and activities. One of the most critical needs of Wake County schools is that of attracting and retaining the best classroom teachers. With the Cary Chamber of Commerce's Honor a Teacher Program we hope to help our school system in meeting that challenge, as well as celebrate the excellence that exists on our MCHS Staff.
The Cary Chamber has secured sponsors to develop a teaching awards program for all schools in the Cary area and one winner from each school will receive a $1200 prize from the Chamber sponsors at a special reception in the Spring. Last year’s winner was Dr. Williamson!
Please nominate an educator in our #StrongStable using this link: https://forms.gle/q8enkvFfqGwANqUu8
Nomination window closes Monday, February 3 at 5 pm

Scholarship Reporting for the Class of 2025
We are excited to recognize Seniors who have been offered a scholarship at our Senior Awards Night this May. Please email any scholarship offers to Mrs. Morris at jmorris@wcpss.net. Scholarships can be academic, athletic, arts, or community-based and students do not need to attend the college in order for us to include that in our listing. Last year’s class earned the largest total in MCHS history with over $18 million dollars and we want to see if we can repeat or even beat that total with the Class of 2025!
