I hope everyone has had a great first week of school and got home safely in this weather this afternoon. It was a wonderful start to the year, and it is nice to have another long weekend, with no school on Monday for Labor Day. 

Below is some information for next week- I appreciate your attention to all of the details!

Information & Reminders:

Fall Meet the Teacher!

Our Fall Meet the Teacher Event will be held Thursday, Sept. 5th at 6:30pm, see the linked flier. 

Families will follow their student’s schedule, class periods 1-4 following the schedule provided below.  Each teacher will provide a brief presentation on their class, curriculum and expectations this semester. 

Schedule for Meet the Teacher

6:30-6:45pm - 1st period class

6:55 - 7:05pm - 2nd period class

7:15 - 7:25pm - 3rd period class

7:35-7:45pm - 4th period class

Families that have siblings attending MCHS are welcome to come between 6:00-6:30 to stop by any teacher classrooms that they want to visit prior to the main event.  (This allows families to briefly visit the other child’s teachers in an informal way, since they may not be able to get everywhere during the night’s schedule.) 

Also, The PTSA will host its general membership meeting at 5:30p.m., Thursday, Sept. 5th in the media center before Meet the Teacher Night begins. Join us to learn about their plans for the year and how you can get involved on a committee! Become a member today! 

 

PSAT Test:

The first test of the year is the PSAT/NMSQT (National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test), and registration is currently open for students! Students in all grade levels are eligible to participate, however, taking the test as a Junior can qualify students for the National Merit Scholarship Program and other scholarships. This letter contains important information about the PSAT and all links necessary to sign up. Registration closes on September 6th. The PSAT will be administered on October 15th.

 

 

Seniors- Class of 2025:

2025 Graduation!

We are excited to share the date for our Class of 2025 Graduation! 

Middle Creek Graduation will be at the Raleigh Convention Center on Wednesday, June 18th at 12:00pm. See Linked flier. Stay tuned for more information and SAVE THE DATE!

 

Senior Parent Meeting:

A Senior parent meeting will be held on Monday, 9/9 at 6pm in the MCHS Auditorium.  Information regarding important dates for senior year (including graduation), senior pictures, transcripts, financial aid, applying to college and much more will be reviewed.  Please be sure to attend and get all the information needed for a successful senior year!  

Annual 12th grade Vaccine Notice:

Attention: Parents of Rising High School Seniors- Your teen needs another vaccine! North Carolina law requires another dose of the Meningococcal vaccine for entry into 12th grade. You may provide a copy of your record of immunization to Ms. Berry, Data Manager via email syberry@wcpss.net, or by dropping it off in the Main Office between 7:00 AM-2:00 PM.  NC General Statute requires the immunization records with the required second dose be presented by the first day of school, so get started on making sure this requirement is met now! Students who are still missing the required immunization were emailed this week, so please have them check their school emails.
