Principal's Weekly Message

Good afternoon Middle Creek High School families,

I hope everyone has had a great week and safely navigated this inclement weather.  This Friday I am officially beginning my weekly principal email messages, and I want to welcome any new and 9th grade families into the MCHS school community! It is going to be a great year, and we are just a few weeks away from our first day. It is my hope that these emails provide helpful reminders and insight into what is upcoming at The Creek.  The messages will also be archived on the mainpage of the website (under “Principal's Messages”)  if you need to go back and review any of the information.

Below are a few pieces of information & calendar items as we move towards the start of the year.

Information & Reminders:

Schedules:

Our MCHS Scheduling team is hard at work getting student schedules ready for the start of the school year. In the off-chance that students can see a schedule in powerschool at any time during July and early August, please know that this schedule is NOT FINALIZED and has a high likelihood of changing. Once schedules are in a finalized state, we will email students and families so that they may check it officially in powerschool.

Freshman Orientation is THURSDAY August 15th!

Please see the linked Flier for details!  10-12th Grade Transfer Student Orientation will also be held on August 15th at MCHS at 11:30am.

The 9th grade Parent Meeting will be held at 8:30am at MCHS or 6:00pm virtually. The link for the virtual session will be on the website Thursday afternoon. We will also share the recording in a future principal message.

2024-2025 Juniors & Seniors:

As we prepare for the school year, it is now time to make plans for parking and off-campus lunch, as well as  other privileges & events offered to our juniors and seniors. Below are some specific details about dues, parking and lunch passes.

Class Dues:

As we gear up for the school year, it is important that our junior and senior class students are reminded of class dues to support grade level activities and functions.

Junior dues cover events such as prom (including the student’s tickets to both Junior and senior prom).  Senior dues cover events such as the senior picnic, graduation, and other senior activities.

Below are the dues for each class, and families can begin making payments in the SCO system linked on the website.

Class of 2025- $40 (Senior Dues)

Class of 2026- $40 (Junior Dues)

Parking Passes:

Forms are available on the MCHS website (under the “Students” tab on the red bar at the top). There are several steps to applying, and all pieces must be completed to receive a parking pass. Spot locations will be determined based on order of payment (with completed documents and no existing fees). If families are unable to print any of the forms, you may stop by the main office during summer hours to pick them up. If you have any questions, you may contact Ms. Sullivan at jsullivan2@wcpss.net.

Lunch Passes:

Forms for lunch passes can be found on the MCHS website under the “Students” tab of the red bar at the top).  There is a $10 fee to make the pass, and payments can be made via the MCHS website. Once the notarized form is completed, the dates below are listed for pass pick-up.  (Reminder, this is a junior and senior only privilege.)
