Summer Updates #2
Good afternoon Middle Creek High School families,
I hope all our families are continuing to have a wonderful summer! To all of our new families- we are excited to have you join our community and look forward to a strong start to the school year! This is our second informational email for the summer and I hope it keeps all our families connected and up to date as we get closer to the start of school. Thank you for your attention to these details.
Summer Information & Reminders:
Schedules:
Our MCHS Scheduling team is hard at work getting student schedules ready for the start of the school year. In the off-chance that students can see a schedule in powerschool at any time during July and early August, please know that this schedule is NOT FINALIZED and has a high likelihood of changing. Once schedules are in a finalized state, we will email students and families so that they may check it officially in powerschool.
Save the Date: Freshman Orientation will be held on August 15th - please see the linked flier below for details! 10-12th Grade Transfer Student Orientation will also be held on August 15th at MCHS - details are included in the flier linked below.
Athletics:
Fall Tryouts & Preparation:
If your student is interested in trying out for any Fall sport or attending any summer workouts, please get in touch with your sport specific coach. ALL Athletes need to check Dragonfly and make sure that paperwork has been cleared and current/complete/accurate for the 24-25 sports season. Fall Tryouts: Begin July 31st!
Dragonfly questions should be directed to your Coach and Coach Smith (lsmith2@wcpss.net).

You may provide a copy of your record of immunization to Ms. Berry, Data Manager via email syberry@wcpss.net, or by dropping it off in the Main Office between 7:00 AM-2:00 PM. NC General Statute requires the immunization records with the required second dose be presented by the first day of school. More information is linked here.
