Good afternoon Middle Creek High School families,

            It was a great week back from Spring Break.  In just a few more school days, we will be finished with the 3rd Quarter! The quarter officially ends on March 9th, with a Teacher Workday on March 10th.  Once grades have been finalized, we will run report cards and send them home the following week.

Below are several additional updates and reminders for this month. I appreciate your attention to the details.

Prom forms now available:

The Junior/Senior Prom will be Saturday, April 27th from 8:00-11:00pm. Prom forms are now available in the front office.  All Junior and Seniors dues must be paid AND students attending prom must fill out a form before they can receive a prom ticket.  Guest tickets will be $60.00, and they can be purchased during RSVP week April 8-13th.  See Ms. Jones in room 2206 or Ms. Paonessa in room 2320 with any questions.  Return all forms to the prom box in the front office. 

 

MCHS PTSA Spirit Day: April 10th- All Day!

Johnny's Pizza in Holly Springs will host a Middle Creek High School PTSA Spirit Day from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10. We invite you, your family and friends to join us for lunch or dinner. Just mention Middle Creek High School when ordering in person, online or calling in. Your MCHS PTSA will receive a 15% giveback from your order. These funds will support PTSA efforts like student recognition activities and field trips, teacher appreciation events, snacks for intervention days, club grants, stock the staff break rooms, campus improvements, and more. We look forward to seeing you at Johnny's next week!

Yearbooks- April is the last chance to order!

Time is running out to order your Middle Creek yearbook! The book is nearly ready to be sent to the printer, so order yours while there are copies available. Go to yearbookordercenter.com and use code 10474. Email Mr. Williams at pwilliams3@wcpss.net with any questions. Books will be distributed towards the end of May.

 

Seniors- Class of 2024:

Spring Senior Meeting -  We will be having a spring senior meeting for parents and students to give updated information about Senior Celebrations and Events coming up.  This meeting has been CHANGED to April 16th at 6pm - Virtually.  A link will be posted on the MCHS site that afternoon for families to access.

 

Baccalaureate - 

All seniors and their families are invited to join Baccalaureate 2024!

When: Saturday, June 8 at 1:00 P.M.

Where: Hope Community Church, 2080 Williams Street, Apex, NC 27539

*Seniors will wear their cap and gowns

Scholarship Information for Seniors

Seniors, please report scholarship information to Student Services as you receive scholarship offers from colleges.  Any academic, arts, athletic, etc. scholarship offers can be reported, even if you aren’t going to attend the school.  Please email scholarship information to Ms. Morris in Student Services at jmorris@wcpss.net or stop by Student Services and we will make a copy of your offer letter.  Last year’s senior class earned over $8 million dollars and we want to see if this year’s class can top that number!  More information about searching for scholarships can be found at this link: Scholarship Searching - Where to Start

Sophomore Family Meeting on April 22, 2024

Student Services will hold our annual Sophomore Family Meeting on April 22, 2024 at 6:00 pm in person at MCHS.  We will discuss interpreting the PreACT scores that students received recently in their sophomore meetings with their counselors, preparing for junior year, and the new 22 credit-3 year graduation opportunity for the Class of 2026.  We hope to see all tenth grade families there!

 

AP Testing Proctoring Help Needed

MCHS is in need of several parent volunteers on May 7, May 9, and May 14 where we are giving larger AP tests.  Please visit the Sign Up Genius at this link to volunteer (just make sure it is not an exam your student is taking, as proctors cannot be related to examinees for the exam they are proctoring).
