Principal's Weekly Message

Good afternoon Middle Creek High School families,

             I hope all our families had a great week and are heading into some relaxation and family time during Spring Break.  Just a reminder that there will be no school Monday- Friday next week for students, and our Main office will be closed for repairs and campus improvements.  If you have anything that needs to be addressed once we return to campus, April 1st, please leave a message with our Main Office line and we will get it upon returning from break.

Below are a few reminders to keep in mind and to pin for your calendars. I appreciate your attention to the details. 

Information & Reminders:

Prom forms now available:

The Junior/Senior Prom will be Saturday, April 27th from 8:00-11:00pm. Prom forms are now available in the front office.  All Junior and Seniors dues must be paid AND students attending prom must fill out a form before they can receive a prom ticket.  Guest tickets will be $60.00, and they can be purchased during RSVP week April 8-13th.  See Ms. Jones in room 2206 or Ms. Paonessa in room 2320 with any questions.  Return all forms to the prom box in the front office.

The latest issue of the MCHS Student News Magazine Hoof Print can be found here. This issue includes:

Stampede Club Annual Auction Event! 

Our Middle Creek Athletics Booster Club is sponsoring an annual Spring Auction.  Event details are provided below and we would love to see many of our families in attendance! Seniors- Class of 2024:

Spring Senior Meeting -  We will be having a spring senior meeting for parents and students to give updated information about Senior Celebrations and Events coming up.  This meeting has been CHANGED to April 16th at 6pm - Virtually.  A link will be posted on the MCHS site that afternoon for families to access.

 

Graduation Tickets - 

The next few months are going to fly by and we know this information is important for your planning purposes.  We are so excited about the venue for graduation this year and are pleased to announce we will be awarding 5 tickets per graduate (flier here).  All questions about graduation and senior events/celebrations will be answered and discussed at the Senior Meeting on April 16th at 6pm (Virtual).

 

Cap & Gown portraits!

Seniors Cap & Gown portraits are now available to view and purchase throughCADY! Celebrate this achievement with new and exclusive products like tassel frames, yard signs, mugs, and more. Scholarship Information for Seniors

Seniors, please report scholarship information to Student Services as you receive scholarship offers from colleges.  Any academic, arts, athletic, etc. scholarship offers can be reported, even if you aren’t going to attend the school.  Please email scholarship information to Ms. Morris in Student Services at jmorris@wcpss.net or stop by Student Services and we will make a copy of your offer letter.  Last year’s senior class earned over $8 million dollars and we want to see if this year’s class can top that number!  More information about searching for scholarships can be found at this link: Scholarship Searching - Where to Start

Sophomore Family Meeting on April 22, 2024

Student Services will hold our annual Sophomore Family Meeting on April 22, 2024 at 6:00 pm in person at MCHS.  We will discuss interpreting the PreACT scores that students received recently in their sophomore meetings with their counselors, preparing for junior year, and the new 22 credit-3 year graduation opportunity for the Class of 2026.  We hope to see all tenth grade families there!

 

Free College Admissions Workshop

The Southern Association of College Admission Counseling (SACAC) is pleased to offer a FREE workshop about college admission and financial aid. The target audience is high school students and their parents.  This is a great opportunity to hear about college admissions from the admissions officers themselves!
