Principal's Weekly Message

Good afternoon Middle Creek High School families,

             I hope everyone has had a great week.  Remember that Monday is a Teacher Workday, so students will not have school.   There is a lot of information from Student Services in today’s message, and I appreciate your attention to the details. 

Information & Reminders:

March PTSA Spirit Night

Your MCHS PTSA will host its next spirit night from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12 at Bocci Trattoria & Pizzeria at 2425 Kildaire Farm Road in Cary. Stop by for dinner and be sure to mention Middle Creek High School when dining in or picking up to-go orders. For online delivery orders, add "MCHS" in the notes section. The MCHS PTSA will receive a 15% giveback to support student, staff and school programs, activities and needs. We look forward to seeing you there. Ciao!

 

Seniors- Class of 2024:

Spring Senior Meeting -  We will be having a spring senior meeting for parents and students to give updated information about Senior Celebrations and Events coming up.  This meeting has been CHANGED to April 16th at 6pm - Virtually.  A link will be posted on the MCHS site that afternoon for families to access. Graduation ticket information will be shared in next week's principal message.

 

Cap & Gown portraits!

Seniors Cap & Gown portraits are now available to view and purchase throughCADY! Celebrate this achievement with new and exclusive products like tassel frames, yard signs, mugs, and more. Scholarship Information for Seniors

Seniors, please report scholarship information to Student Services as you receive scholarship offers from colleges.  Any academic, arts, athletic, etc. scholarship offers can be reported, even if you aren’t going to attend the school.  Please email scholarship information to Ms. Morris in Student Services at jmorris@wcpss.net or stop by Student Services and we will make a copy of your offer letter.  Last year’s senior class earned over $8 million dollars and we want to see if this year’s class can top that number!  More information about searching for scholarships can be found at this link: Scholarship Searching - Where to Start

9th Grade Safety Presentation

Beginning this week, our Student Assistance Program counselor Brentt Coley will start implementing the Signs of Suicide program presentation with 9th grade students through their Healthful Living classes. Career and College Promise Information Session for Students

Rising juniors and seniors who are interested in taking dual enrollment courses through Wake Tech’s CCP program should attend the CCP Info Session that is held on March 20 at 7:30 am in the auditorium.  Students were sent a link to sign up for this in their email on Wednesday from Mrs. Gillespie. 

 

Free College Admissions Workshop

The Southern Association of College Admission Counseling (SACAC) is pleased to offer a FREE workshop about college admission and financial aid. The target audience is high school students and their parents.  This is a great opportunity to hear about college admissions from the admissions officers themselves!

When: Saturday, March 23, 9am-12pm
