Support the MCHS Band!

MCHS Band Boosters is hosting a Sarris Candies fundraiser. Ordering is sweet and simple - all online! Visit www.SarrisCandiesFundraising.com, enter our Group ID# (10-3647) and any band student's name to shop. Browse hundreds of Sarris Candies products and checkout online. Online Ordering is open through 3/10/2024. Your order will be shipped directly to your customer's house and the specified band member will earn 25% profit!

 

Changes to event security- Start TODAY March 1st:

As mentioned in WCPSS communications, there will be changes to the rules guiding personal items and bags for events starting in March. Specific information linked here.

 

Attendance Reminders:

Good attendance continues to be something I would like to highlight as we move further into second semester. Students must be in regular attendance to do their best work in school.  As a reminder, there are attendance expectations that must be met to maintain privileges (like parking and lunch passes), and earn exemption status as seniors.  While our underclassmen do not have as many privileges available, I wanted to note that being provided transportation on the school bus is a privilege.  When a student is taking advantage of this service, but not attending class with fidelity and is skipping, then they are putting their access to that ride home in jeopardy.  I hope that none of our students reach the level of losing this privilege, but a bus suspension/removal is something that can be given as a consequence and I wanted to make sure our families were aware.  Your reinforcement of good attendance is much appreciated!

 

Seniors- Class of 2024:

March 6 - 100 Days Until Graduation Shirt Day!   

• Seniors and staff are encouraged to make a shirt with 100 things attached to it to celebrate that there are only 100 days until graduation.   There will be prizes!  More information to come soon!

Career and College Promise Information Session for Students

Rising juniors and seniors who are interested in taking dual enrollment courses through Wake Tech’s CCP program should attend the CCP Info Session that is held on March 20 at 7:30 am in the auditorium.  Students were sent a link to sign up for this in their email on Wednesday from Mrs. Gillespie. 

 

Registration for the 24-25 school year is underway!

Course registration for the 24-25 school year began this week and will continue through March 20.  Students will register with their second block class and should come prepared with their course registration sheet that they received several weeks ago.  We encourage students and their families to discuss their courses for next year prior to their date/time.  Further information about course registration is found at: MCHS Student Services Registration Website
