Principal's Weekly Message
Good evening Middle Creek High School families,
We had a great second week of school. Thank you to all the families who came to last night's Meet the Teacher event. Turn out was fantastic and we hope you got some valuable information and facetime with your student's teachers.
Below are details and updates to keep you informed with some of the important things happening at The Creek.
Information & Reminders:
Spanish-speaking Parent Meeting
We will be offering a parent meeting for all of our Spanish speaking families on October 3, 2023 at 6pm at Middle Creek High School. This will be an opportunity to get information about how to best support your student here at MCHS, and also start planning for the future. The entire event will be held in Spanish. Please join us for this great night of information.
Register for the PSAT!
The first test of the year is the PSAT/NMSQT (National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) and registration is currently open for students! Students in all grade levels are eligible to participate, however, taking the test as a Junior can qualify students for the National Merit Scholarship Program and other scholarships. This letter contains important information about the PSAT and all links necessary to sign up. Registration closes on September 9. The PSAT will be administered on October 24th.
New visitor check-in system:
To continue to provide safe learning environments, all schools have upgraded their visitor check-in system to a district-wide Visitor Management System. The new system will verify all school visitors and check the Sex Offender Registry for potential matches. View details of what to expect when visiting your child’s school.
Join our Stampede Club:
If you have an MCHS athlete or are an athletic supporter, please consider joining the MCHS Athletics Boosters, the Stampede Club! This club plays a big role in helping with field maintenance, uniform and equipment costs and upgrades, and so much more! Please consider joining, and purchasing a Stampede Club Athletic pass, which gets you into all home (non-playoff) games for free! The MC stampede all sport annual passes are now available for purchase. Visit -Gofan.com and search schools: Middle Creek Stampede Club.

Annual 12th grade Vaccine Notice:
Attention: Parents of Rising High School Seniors- Your teen needs another vaccine! North Carolina law requires another dose of the Meningococcal vaccine for entry into 12th grade. You may provide a copy of your record of immunization to Ms. Berry, Data Manager via email syberry@wcpss.net, or by dropping it off in the Main Office between 7:00 AM-2:00 PM. NC General Statute requires the immunization records with the required second dose be presented by the first day of school, so get started on making sure this requirement is met now!
