Good morning Sycamore Creek Families!  This Friday is track out day for Track 3!

 

Croc Mile Celebrations

What an amazing Croc Mile 2024!  Thank you so much to all the families and friends who came out to run or cheer on our amazing Croc students and staff!  We appreciate your support and your donations to help us reach our goal!  Special thanks to PTA volunteers, Jasmine Lauer and Amanda Viverette, for leading this year’s Croc Mile!   We are now striving to reach our stretch goal  Please continue to send in donations through the end of October. 

 

Because we have met our first goal, there will be a staff inflatable race in November.  If you have an inflatable costume we can borrow in November, we would be so appreciative.  We need about 15 more.

 

Blankets for Boone and Surrounding Areas

We are collecting new blankets to help those affected by Hurricane Helene through this Wednesday.   Collection bins are near the cafeteria or you can send in with your child. 

 

National School Lunch Week

This week, October 14th-18th, is National School Lunch week and the perfect time to celebrate our wonderful cafeteria staff!  Please help us show appreciation to Ms. Simmons, Ms. Tekriwala and Ms. Moore-Garcia.

Backpack Buddies Donations Needed

The Backpack Buddies pantry is currently low on canned chicken, canned corn, individual mac & cheese cups, individual serving size cereal boxes, and individually packaged snacks (chips, goldfish, crackers, cookies, etc.) If anyone is able to donate these items, they would be greatly appreciated! Please make sure to check expiration dates before donating, as we are unable to accept expired items.

Pine Hollow Middle School Calendar Change for 2025-2026

Per WCPSS School Board decision, Pine Hollow Middle School will follow a traditional school calendar beginning the 2025-2026 school year.

 

Volunteer Registration 

For new volunteer registrations, click the link to start your volunteer registration: https://myvolunteer.com/wcpss/volunteer/login.  On the MyVolunteer site, you will find disclosure and authorization forms, the WCPSS Volunteer Agreement, as well as a summary of rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. You must review these documents and provide the requested information.  Make sure you include your name and contact information when you begin the registration process.  If you leave the CRC background site before completing your contact information, you will have to begin the process again.  You must include your social security number to register to volunteer.  If you do not have a social security number, please contact volunteers@wcpss.net or call 919-694-8233.  You will be notified by the MyVolunteer system if you are approved to volunteer.  If you have any issues during the volunteer registration process, contact the MyVolunteer customer support team at 877-272-0266 or customercare@mycrc.com.
