It is hard to believe that we are approaching our last 17 days of school. It is remarkable how quickly the year can go! We are excited about many end of the year activities. Thank you for taking the time to read our weekly newsletter.
Quick Updates/Reminders:

Medication Pickup: If your student has medication in the health room, please pick it up by the last day of school. An adult must pick up all medications from school. Medications not picked up 10 business days after the last day of school will be disposed of by the nurse. Any questions, please contact Heather Smith (hwsmith@wcpss.net)
Are You Interested in Helping with EOG Testing?
Volunteer to be a Proctor!
Test Proctors provide another adult in the classroom to help supervise students during the test process. All proctors will complete a short training session with our Test Coordinator - Valencia Collins (vcollins@wcpss.net).
EOG Testing Schedule Reminders
All 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students across the state are expected to take the EOG assessments. Please check the details below.
- Friday, May 31 - Science - 5th
- Tuesday, June 4 - Reading - 3rd-5th
- Wednesday, June 5 - Math - 3rd-5th
On testing dates, PLEASE plan accordingly, so your child arrives at school by 9:15. Early check-outs will NOT be allowed before 1:00pm to ensure students have ample time to complete the test.
End of Year Treats
We are continuing to do treats for ALL K-5 students for end of year assessments!
- K-2 students will get a treat for their EOY testing and 3-5 will get a snack & a treat for each day of EOGs.
Please contact Ms. Overton if you have any questions, soverton@wcpss.net. The turn around is quicker this year. All student treats must be turned in by Wednesday, May 22nd. This will give student team leaders time to count and sort by teacher, etc.
If you buy a large supply from a warehouse, please just put down how many you have (i.e. I bought a package of 36 goldfish bags = 4 packs of 9). There are GREAT deals at the Warehouse stores (I checked Costco & BJs) and Walmart/Sams.
**All donations should be dropped off in STEM room or office with a sticky note for MRS. O with the name you signed up with! Thank you! We need all family donations first so that we can sort, count, and deliver them to the teachers of K-5. Thank you for your help!! For the teacher snacks, those should be delivered closer to the days of testing.

Each family will receive 4 tickets that you will have to show at the door to enter.

The 4 tickets per family does NOT include your 5th grader - they will be sitting on stage with their class.

If you ordered a sign and did not pick it up last Friday, it is available in the front office for pickup between 8:30-3:30.
