Ms. Sullivan: My name is Chelsea Sullivan and I am so excited to be teaching 2nd grade at White Oak! This will be my 3rd year at WOE and my 6th year teaching. I graduated from the NC Teaching Fellows Program at UNC-Chapel Hill (Go Heels!) in 2013. I taught for a couple years in Chapel Hill, before moving to Raleigh. When not teaching, I enjoy travelling, reading a mystery novel, or trying out a new restaurant in Raleigh!
Degrees/Certifications: B.A. in Elementary Education
Follow the Class: Contact Ms. Carr to join Seesaw
Ms. Carr: I have been passionately teaching for over 25 years. I have enjoyed my ""learning"" years in PK-4th grade-spending the most time in my favorite grade, second (eleven years). I hold a BS in Accounting and earned my Masters Degree in Early Childhood from Kent State University. Several years later, I earned my license in Gifted Education. I just love learning (and teaching too)!! Then I reached my proudest career moment when I achieved National Board Certified Teacher status in November of 2014.
I live in Cary with my terrific husband and two amazing sons and our adorable dogs, Cupcake and Trixie. We love having fun and going on vacations together. We have been to Disney World over 22 times!! Shopping is my favorite ""sport""! I love searching for unique things at vintage markets, painting old furniture so that it looks groovy again, reading and watching historical fiction, and baking with my grandmother’s recipes. I love teaching with all my heart and can't imagine doing anything else.
Degrees/Certifications: MS in Ed in Early Childhood, Gifted Intervention Specialist Licensure and National Board Certification

I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being a doggy Mom, traveling, singing, reading, and being a lifelong learner. I have a passion for teaching, and I love to share that passion with my students each day!

In the summer, I am employed by The Hill Center where I am a teacher to small groups of children with specific learning disabilities in reading and writing. Reading and writing are my passion, but of course I love math, too! In my free time when I am not working I love to decorate my house, shop, read, and exercise at OrangeTheory Fitness.
