The Gifted and Talented (GT) magnet program is rooted in the belief that every student has gifts and talents to be valued and nurtured.Students have the opportunity to customize their academic programs by choosing elective courses according to their academic needs and interests. Our Gifted and Talented Program offers an extensive elective menu for exploration of student interests and rich, in-depth study in all subject areas to enhance Common Core and Essential Standards.Parents and students select courses from a diverse menu of offerings each quarter. For example, a child who is gifted in math may seek to be challenged in an academically gifted math elective, while a child who loves rhythm and movement may choose to take a dance class.World Language instruction and expanded visual and performing arts opportunities will be available.Students in the Academically and Intellectually Gifted (AIG) Basics Program are grouped with other AIG-identified students for Language Arts or Math according to their individual qualifications. Carnage, Ligon, and Moore Square GT/AIG Basics Middle Schools, and Enloe Magnet High School provide a continuation of this program through advanced courses and electives.
