Start your spring off right by signing up for the FIRST EVER Panther Creek AND Green Hope Community Blood Drive on Saturday, April 6th, anytime from 9am-6pm, at the Whole Foods next to Panther Creek High School (5055 Arco Street, Cary, NC 27519). With a critical blood shortage statewide, we need your help to make an impact. Donating blood saves three lives and only takes 15 minutes! Donors will receive a Limited Edition t-shirt, gift cards from local restaurants (Smoothie King, Moe's, Brixx Pizza, Jimmy Johns, etc), and volunteer hours for NHS and Key Club.
To be eligible to donate, you must be 17 years old and at least 110 pounds. However, if you are 16 years old, you may also donate, but you will need a parent consent form signed (link below) and brought to the blood drive. Please have a hearty meal before donating, drink plenty of water, and bring a PHOTO-ID! Last November, we set a new record with 154 people and 119 pints donated, saving 357 lives, but we need your support to top that!"
The Panther Creek Student Council is pleased to announce the timeline for spring elections. These elections will elect next year's student leaders for our Catamount community. There will be an interest meeting during SMART Lunch on Thursday, March 28 at 10:35 am in Mod 4 Room 1. All completed applications and essays are due at the Candidates' meeting during SMART Lunch on Wednesday, April 3 at 10:35 am in Mod 4 Room 1. Please review the Student Council Class Officers Application, Student Body Officers Application and Campaign Guidelines. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Gatlin (Mod 4 Room 1). Thank you!
MR. CATAMOUNT 2019
The Class of 2019 will be hosting the Mr. Catamount pageant on March 23 at 7:00PM in the Panther Creek Auditorium. This event serves as the Senior Class fundraiser which will fund the Class of 2019 gift to the school and support the Senior Class Picnic. Tickets are on sale through the OSP system for $12 until Sunday, March 17. Pre-sale ticket pick-up will take place on Friday, March 22 during SMART Lunch in the student courtyard. Pre-sale pick-up will also be available at check-in on the night of the event. Any remaining tickets will be on sale for $15 at the door on the night of the show.
Mr. Catamount will also be collecting socks for donation to Note in the Pocket, a local non-profit organization focused on providing clothing to impoverished and homeless children in Wake County. We will be collecting new pairs of socks from March 18 through March 23 in the student courtyard during lunch and during the night of the event. To increase our participation, there is a friendly competition among the Mr. Catamount contestants to collect the most sock donations in order to earn the title of Mr. Soxy.
We hope you will all come out and support our Class of 2019 and cheer on your favorite Mr. Catamount contestants!
Mark your calendars for the first annual 2019 Triangle Activity, Camps, and Track-Out Fair on Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Garner Magnet High School.
