• Poe GT/AIG Basics Magnet Tours

    Please reach out to our Magnet Coordinator, Shane Chinni, directly to schedule a time at schinni@wcpss.net or 919-250-4777 ext. 24353 to arrange a tour during the summer months. We will be offering frequent tours starting in October 2025. We will also be at the Magnet Fair on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

    School Day Tour Dates

    These tours will last 1 hour and provide an opportunity to tour the school, learn about our Gifted and Talented/AIG Basics magnet theme, and see students in both core and elective classes. 

    We are offering three different school day options: 

    K-5th Grade General Tours
    3rd - 5th Grade AIG Tours
    Prospective Kindergartener Tours

    Please select the type of tour you would like to attend. You may select more than one. Twilight tours are scheduled for after-school hours. In place of an opportunity to see students in classrooms, we will host a teacher, parent, and student Q&A panel before embarking on a school tour.

    Twilight Tours

    We will also be hosting evening tours this year that include student and staff Q&As.
