Hi I am Elana Webster, and I am one of the 5th grade teachers! This year I will be teaching Math and Science. I went to undergrad at Michigan State University and then attended Central Michigan University for my Masters degree. My teaching philosophy focuses on collaboration and open communication. I love to inspire young entrepreneurs. My goal each day is to be a motivational factor that positively influences my students to work through and complete each task to the best of their ability. 

My name is Jennifer Long and I have been an educator for 29 years! All but one of those years I have taught 5th grade. I have a Masters Degree in Education as well as a National Board Certification in K-12 Reading. I believe that all children deserve a safe space where they can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. That safe space must include room to make mistakes, never ending encouragement, and allow students to reflect on their efforts while realizing their potential for success.

I enjoy spending time with family and friends, including my dog Lucy, and my two cats, Phoebe and Star. I love reading suspense novels and am an action movie junkie! I can find happiness anywhere and am very involved in my church. When time allows, I enjoy crafty activities. I also have a unique talent for memorizing songs, especially from the 1980s - you want me on your team for music trivia!

My name is Megan Smith, and I am one of the 5th grade teachers. I graduated from undergraduate from UNC Wilmington and received my Masters degree in education from UNC-Pembroke. One of my favorite things about being an educator is the look on students' faces when a concept finally clicks! When I am not at school I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family.
