Hi my name is Alicia Gregory and I have been teaching for 20 years. I've taught Kindergarten through 12th grade and enjoy teaching upper elementary the best! 

I love going to work each day and introducing new skills and concepts to the students. It's exciting to see them take that information, apply it, and see them be proud of their accomplishments. I love those "lightbulb" moments!

I am a huge football fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, as well as a women's soccer fan, especially the USA Women's National Team. I enjoy gardening and planting flowers. I have a sweet furbaby named Rooney, my three year old cat. My favorite animal is a penguin and I have a collection I began when I started teaching.

Hi my name is Michelle Newton. I have been teaching for 23 years in various roles such as 2nd - 5th grade, AIG Specialist, and middle school Science specialist.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Education degree from Mercyhurst and a Masters of Education degree from Barton College. I have been awarded Teacher of the Year numerous times and also received various grants to further the learning opportunities of my students.

As Whitney Houston so eloquently sang, “I believe that children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way. Show them all the beauty they possess inside.” To me, teaching students well means creating a positive environment where learning is viewed as a responsibility and benefit to persevering in our world. I want my students to know that I care for them, their well-being is in my best interest, and they matter!

I am passionate about serving the Lord, my students, and their families. When I'm not teaching in the classroom or Sunday School, you can find me spending time playing in my yard. I also love to read a good book on the beach.

Hi my name is Christopher Smith, and I will be a 3rd grade teacher at ZMES! I have experience teaching 3rd grade, 5th grade ELA/SS, and 7th grade ELA.

It has been my experience that all students have the ability to succeed when they are given the tools need to develop critical thinking skills, the "why" is as important to learning as the "how." I seek to foster a classroom environment in which all students feel safe expressing themselves appropriately, thinking critically, and having fun. I believe all students must develop intrinsic motivation, self-discipline, and an understanding of how they learn best in order to become the best versions of themselves. I understand that education and learning are not confined to the classroom and the teacher serves as a guide to help their students understand the broader world around them.

My interests/hobbies include playing video games, traveling and experiencing new cultures, self-improvement, reading, and acquiring vast amounts of useless trivia.
