Hi my name is Alicia Gregory and I have been teaching for 21 years. I've taught Kindergarten through 12th grade and enjoy teaching upper elementary the best! 

I love going to work each day and introducing new skills and concepts to the students. It's exciting to see them take that information, apply it, and see them be proud of their accomplishments. I love those "lightbulb" moments!

I am a huge football fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, as well as a women's soccer fan, especially the USA Women's National Team. I enjoy gardening and planting flowers. I have two sweet furbabies named Rooney and Calla. My favorite animal is a penguin and I have a collection I began when I started teaching.

Hello! I am Debra-Kay Washington and I am excited to be joining Zebulon Magnet Elementary School. I have been teaching for18 years. I enjoy watching Hallmark, playing tennis, spending time with my family and friends.

"If It Is to Be, It Is Up to Me" I believe that education is a transformative journey, and at the heart of that journey lies both purpose and personal responsibility. The phrase "If it is to be, it is up to me" serves as the foundation of my teaching philosophy. It reminds me that I am not only responsible for delivering content, but for inspiring, nurturing, and guiding every student toward their fullest potential. I believe that meaningful relationships, consistent expectations, and a deep sense of purpose create the conditions where students thrive.I accept the responsibility to meet each learner where they are and help them move forward. Ultimately, teaching is not only a job—it’s a calling to make a difference.
