Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from East Carolina University
Ms. Jasmine Jones
This will be my sixth year in education and my fifth year teaching 2nd grade at Zebulon Magnet Elementary. I feel privileged to be part of a school community that embraces innovation and encourages young learners to explore, question, and discover. Each year, I look forward to helping my students grow as confident learners and kind classmates.
As an educator, I believe that every child is capable of learning, growing, and achieving success when they feel seen, supported, and inspired. My goal is to create a classroom environment where students feel safe to take risks, make mistakes, and celebrate their progress. One of the most rewarding moments for me is when the “light bulb” comes on—when a student grasps a new concept and their face lights up with pride and understanding. I am driven by those moments and by the joy of helping young learners discover their strengths, build confidence, and develop a love for learning that lasts a lifetime. I strive to meet each student where they are and provide the encouragement and guidance they need to thrive—both academically and personally.
When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me traveling to new places and enjoying new experiences. I love spending quality time with my family and friends—it’s what keeps me grounded and joyful. I’m also a big fan of exploring local shops and finding unique treasures along the way. These experiences inspire me and bring fresh energy into my classroom every day.
