Hello Yates Mill Families! My name is Pearl Young and I am going to be teaching 4th grade math, science, and social studies (all my favorite subjects)! This is my first year teaching at Yates Mill Elementary School. I feel blessed to be a part of the YMES family.
Let me tell you a little about me. I am originally from Fayetteville, NC and have lived in North Carolina for my entire life. I recently moved to Raleigh after teaching 3rd grade in Charlotte. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University.
When I am not at school, I spend time lifting weights, walking around the lake, and trying new recipes. I am looking forward to another year supporting students towards reaching their goals!
