Mrs. Pace

My name is Sara Pace and I teach 4th grade ELA at Yates Mill!  This will be my 20th year in education and I have taught all grades from K-4th! I graduated from Campbell University in 2001 with a BS in Elementary Education and haven't looked back! I am also currently enrolled in NC State University’s Educational Leadership Academy (NELA) as part of the Los Lobos 2026 Cohort as a Principal Fellow to receive my masters in school administration!

I currently live in Knightdale, NC with my husband, Alan and my son, Benjamin.  When I am not teaching, you can find me getting lost in a book, exercising, watching TV with my husband, shopping, and spending time with my son doing all things fun! Some of my favorites include Dunkin iced coffee, peanut butter M&Ms, Hawaiian BBQ chips, Target, Barnes and Noble, and Ohio State & Cincinnati Bengals football! I also enjoy cooking and have recently embarked on a weight loss journey, so I love finding new low calorie recipes to try!

Throughout my career, my philosophy has remained the same-EVERY child can learn, but EVERY child also deserves to feel safe, loved, and heard.  I have always set high expectations for my students while also providing them with an environment that allows them to feel safe, protected, and loved!  I am looking forward to an amazing year at YMES and can't wait to see what this year will bring!
