Mr. Gerdes
Hello NFP Community!! My name is Ron Gerdes, and I am the PE Teacher at North Forest Pines.
I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA. I am a huge sports fan- the Steelers (NFL), Hurricanes (NHL), and UNC (college) are my favorites. This will be my 21st year of teaching. I taught in Las Vegas before moving to NC in 2004. I used to be a second grade teacher before becoming the PE teacher at NFP in 2018.
I am married to Mrs. Gerdes (second grade teacher at NFP). We have two wonderful daughters- Jordyn (17) and Madison (15). I like to run, ride my mountain bike, and spend time with my family in my spare time. I enjoy teaching my students about movement, exercise, and sports.
I am looking forward to working with our Falcons this school year!!
