I am Lashondal Smith, a graduate from Winston Salem State University with a bachelor’s degree in Birth through Kindergarten Education. This is my sixth-year teaching and my second year as a NC PreK teacher here at Yates Mill Elementary School. Teaching is my absolute passion. I believe with proper care and family support, there is no limit to what a child can accomplish.

I am the mother of an awesome little boy and a loving little girl. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family and relaxing at the beach. This year is going to be filled with lots of fun, learning and exploring. I look forward to an amazing school year!
