Mrs. Leslie Blake
Mrs. Blake was born and raised in Illinois. She attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She later went on to pursue her master’s degree in School Administration and Supervision from North Carolina Central University. Prior to joining Millbrook Environmental Connections Elementary in 2016, she taught at the elementary level in 3rd and 4th grade. She has also served as a math instructional coach and an elementary math coordinating teacher.
Mrs. Blake loves being part of the Millbrook and is so excited about its environmental connections magnet theme. She is inspired by the many exciting changes that will enhance what learning and teaching look like for staff and students.
In her spare time, she loves to spend time with family and friends. She is married and has 2 sons. Whenever possible, she likes to travel, go roller skating, cook, and attend/plan game nights.
