Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Jason Norton, and I am thrilled to be at Lincoln Heights for the 2019-2020 school year serving as an administrative intern! I was born and raised a Buckeye in the small town of Bellefontaine, Ohio. I graduated from Clark Summit University with a degree in Elementary Education and am currently working on my Masters of Administration at UNC Chapel Hill. My lovely wife and I have lived in North Carolina for the past 13 years and have three children, Reese (9), Carter (6), and Will (3). Sports are my passion, as I am an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, and THE Ohio State Buckeyes. In my spare time, I love to go on adventures, set personal goals that challenge me, and run long distance races.
I have had the opportunity to teach and work with hundreds of students throughout my thirteen years in Wake County Public Schools, beginning my career at Fox Road Elementary School, and most recently, Herbert Akins Road Elementary for the past nine years. I love being inside of a school and enthusiastically working with students and families to ensure that school becomes a place they ALL feel loved, supported, and CAN experience success!
It is an honor for me to be working here alongside all of the wonderful staff, students, and families of Lincoln Heights, and I can’t wait to shake your hand, meet, and get to know you!
