Ms. Kelly Wilson, Principal
Kelly Fish Wilson is proud to serve as the principal of Lincoln Heights Environmental Connections Magnet Elementary, where she leads with a focus on relationships, innovation, and student success. With more than 22 years of experience in education, Ms. Wilson has served as a classroom teacher, coach, assistant principal, and principal.
A Willow Spring, NC native, Ms. Wilson began her career as a classroom teacher in Wake County, where she was recognized as First Year Teacher of the Year and later achieved National Board Certification. She went on to serve as assistant principal at A.B. Combs Leadership Magnet Elementary before becoming principal at West Lake Elementary, a role she held for seven years.
Beyond her school leadership, Ms. Wilson is a certified Myers-Briggs administrator and FranklinCovey 7 Habits facilitator. She has presented nationally on topics such as rigor, relevance, and relationships, and has supported schools and districts across the country in strengthening instructional practice and leadership development.
A graduate of Meredith College and Gardner-Webb University, Ms. Wilson holds a degree in American Civilization and certifications in K–6 Elementary Education and K–12 School Administration. She is deeply committed to the Lincoln Heights mission of connecting students with the environment, their community, and the world around them.
When she’s not at school, Ms. Wilson enjoys spending time with her family, exploring historical sites, and photography. She is excited to continue leading the Lincoln Heights Tigers in creating a learning environment where every child thrives.
