Christine Eason has been the music teacher at Pleasant Grove Elementary since the very first day in 2016.  Prior to teaching here, she opened Brier Creek Elementary in 2006 and was there for ten years.  Mrs. Eason has been teaching elementary music since 2001.  She has her undergraduate degree in Music Therapy from Michigan State University and a master's in music education from University of Michigan, therefore making her both Spartan and Wolverine.  Mrs. Eason is the current vice president for the Central Carolina Chapter for the American Orff-Schulwerk Association, she was a WakeEd Partnership "Stars of Education" finalist for 2024 and is the current Teacher of the Year at Pleasant Grove Elementary.  You can see her in her other favorite role as "the carpool lady" each afternoon taking numbers.   On the weekends she loves spending time with her husband and two teenaged daughters, and each Sunday she leads worship at church.
