Welcome to Pleasant Grove!  I am thrilled to be your music teacher.  I have been teaching elementary music for 19 years.  I still have a lot of learning and growing to do, so I love that we have a growth mindset at PGES.  I am from Troy, Michigan, and have a Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from Michigan State University, a Master’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Michigan, and National Board Certification for vocal music. Yes, I am both Spartan and Wolverine.  Music is the greatest peacekeeper!  My wonderful husband, Simpson, makes me laugh every day, and my two creative daughters keep me “in the know” about the coolest pop music.  I love eating healthy foods, hiking in the mountains, playing instruments,  and attending LIVE performances of all kinds, especially musical theater and jazz!
