Hello! My name is Katie Whelan and I am so excited to be your students' librarian this year. I am from Syracuse, NY, and moved down to North Carolina 5 years ago. I have my Bachelor's Degree from St. John Fisher College (Rochester, NY) in Early and Special Education and my Master's Degree from Syracuse University in Library and Information Science. When I am not at school, I spend time with my family, walk and play with my dog, Lulu, and read or watch football (Go Bills!). 

I am looking forward to a great year in the library!
