Ms. Jaime Warkonyi

Ms. Jaime Warkonyi is one of two assistant principals pr'OWL'dly serving the Oakview Elementary School community since its inaugural year in 2016.  


She was born and raised in Ambridge, a steel town just north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  After graduating from Ambridge Area High School in 2000, she received a Bachelor of Science in Education: Dual Major in Elementary Education K-6 & Special Education (Mentally and/or Physically Handicapped K-12.) from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in Erie, PA.  She moved to North Carolina in 2005 and began her career in WCPSS as a fourth-grade teacher at Stough Elementary and later taught third grade.  In 2014, she completed the Master of School Administration (MSA) program at East Carolina University. For two more years, she taught fourth grade at Fuquay Varina Elementary School. 


Ms. Warkonyi has been practicing yoga since 2000 and embarked on her first yoga teacher training journey in 2018.  Currently, she is registered as an E-RYT® 200, RYT® 500, & YACEP® in Yoga Alliance. She is a Usui/Holy Fire®️III World Peace Karuna Reiki®️Master, as well as a Yoga Warriors International certified instructor.   She lives with two Siamese cats, Bentley and Sushi.
