Ms. Jaime Warkonyi

Hello, Owls!  I am proud the proud assistant principal at Oakview Elementary School!  I am very honored to work alongside the innovative and passionate administrative team and staff.

I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA, where my family still resides.  I graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in Erie, PA, with my Bachelor of Science in Education majoring in both Elementary Education K-6 & Special Education- Mentally and /or Physically Handicapped K-12.  After surviving the blistering winters and lake effect snow, I moved to North Carolina in 2005 and began my teaching career for the Wake County Public School System at Stough Elementary as a fourth-grade teacher.  I later taught third grade for two years, and in 2014, completed the Master of School Administration (MSA) program through ECU.  My teaching career continued at Fuquay Varina Elementary School also as a fourth-grade teacher.

I am a RYT-200 (Registered Yoga Teacher, 200 hours) and am currently working towards my RYT-300 certification.  I love visiting the NC coast, as well as the mountains.  I have two Siamese cats, Bentley and Sushi.  Most importantly, my favorite color is GLITTER.

I enjoy building relationships with the students and families.   Please make me aware of any questions, suggestions, or concerns you may have at

This year is going to be #owlsome!
