Extracurricular activity offerings may vary from school year to school year. Staff volunteer their time, typically after school, to host student clubs.
Athletic Managers
Sixth grade students can serve as managers for our school athletic teams. Ms. Baker is the contact for students interested in managing athletic teams. She can be reached at tlbaker@wcpss.net.
BETA
BETA club is a service organization. Invitations to the BETA club are based on meeting certain academic requirements. Invitations for 7th and 8th graders will be shared in the fall. Our contact for this club is school counselor, Hailey Bridgers. Ms. Bridgers can be contacted at hbridgers@wcpss.net.
Dungeons & Dragons (D & D)
This club is being organized by Mr. Dicey to provide students with role-playing fun as they engage in the fantasy game Dungeons and Dragons. Participating in this club helps students facilitate effective communication skills, provides problem-solving opportunities, and helps create social bonds. Family Career & Community Leaders of America (FCCLA)

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a national Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) for young men and women in Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) education in public and private school through grade 12. FCCLA offers intra-curricular resources and opportunities for students to pursue careers that support families. Since 1945, FCCLA members have been making a difference in their families, careers, and communities by addressing important personal, work, and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences education.The work of FCCLA helps students and teachers focus on a variety of youth concerns, including parenting, family relationships, substance abuse, peer pressure, sustainability, nutrition and fitness, teen violence, and career preparation in four specific

Involvement in FCCLA offers members the opportunity to expand their leadership potential and develop skills for life—planning, goal setting, problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal communication—necessary in the home and workplace.- Hospitality and Tourism - The Hospitality and Tourism Career Pathway includes the management, marketing, and operations of restaurants and other food services, lodging, attractions, recreation events, and travel-related services.
- Human Services - The Human Services Career Pathway prepares individuals for employment in careers that relate to families and human needs such as counseling and mental health services, family and community services, personal care, and consumer services.
- Education and Training - The Education and Training Career Pathway involves planning, managing, and providing education and training services and related learning support services.
- Visual Arts and Design - The Visual Arts and Design Career Pathway involves designing, producing, exhibiting, performing, writing, and publishing multimedia content including visual and performing arts and design, journalism, and entertainment services.

PAALThe Garner Police Athletic / Activities League (PAAL) is a youth crime prevention program that utilizes educational, athletic, and recreational activities to create trust and understanding between police officers and youth. It is based on the conviction that if young people are reached early enough, they can develop strong positive attitudes towards police officers. PAAL is dedicated to instilling in youth a value system emphasizing the need to respect and protect human rights as well as obey the laws of our city, state, and nation. Yearbook
Students in the yearbook club learn about photography and photo layout. This club designs the layout for the North Garner Yearbook. The staff leader of this club is Ms. Hodges - Lester ("HL"). She can be contacted at mhodgeslester@wcpss.net.
Parents & guardians can get involved too!
Our Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) plays an integral role in the continued success of North Garner. They provide support for our Arts and athletics programs, PBIS student recognition and awards, classroom technology and teacher appreciation activities. The North Garner PTSA provides opportunities for parents to volunteer or assist with a variety of projects and causes across campus.
