Important Information about EOG/EOC Testing:

• Students are expected to bring their charged Wake County Chromebooks and their charger on testing days. All testing will be online and personal computers are not permitted.
• We are not permitted to interrupt the testing setting and are not able to check students out until school-wide testing ends at approximately 12:30 each day. This includes all students on campus, even if they are not testing that day.   
• As you are planning appointments for your child in the coming weeks, you will want to consult the testing schedule. 
• Fitbits, Apple Watches, airpods and smart devices and watches are not permitted in the testing room.  Have students keep these items at home during testing.
• Cell phones must be turned off and put away for the entirety of the testing session

 

EOG/EOC Testing News:  Students will be taking EOG/EOC tests from May 30 – June 5.  Make ups will continue after June 5 if needed. 

Retesting for students who do not earn a proficient score on the EOG will be on Monday, June 12 (Reading) and Tuesday, June 13 (Math).  

Each student will receive their personalized testing schedule with day/date, subject tested and room numbers on Tuesday, May 23 during 1^st period.  We recommend students slip this into their Chromebook case so they can access it during testing week.

 

 

 

 

Fees and Fines:  We are getting close to the end of the school year.  It is time to return Language and Literature novels that have not been returned.  All students should make sure they bring the outstanding book(s) to school and give it to their Language and Literature teacher by May 23rd.

A fine will be added to your student's account for any novel that is not returned. Please contact your students' Language and Literature teacher if you have any questions.

 

 

Media Center News:  Last day to check out books is May 26.  All books must be returned by June 2.

There are a few spots still open to help with the Year 3 (8th grade dance) on Friday, June 2! Meet others parents while helping with set up and clean up OR sign up for the actual event and be around the kids! Remember that ONLY 6/7 grade parents can help during the actual event. Come check it out by helping and gain some ideas for the 2024 Year 3 Dance!!

Goodberry’s is where Spirit Nights started this year - so let’s wrap up the year back there! Please join us on Wednesday, May 31 at the Goodberry’s in Harvest Oaks Plaza. 9700 Strickland Road from 11am-10pm. Starts at 11am?!  YES!
